Michael and Kevin Casey are artists who create beautiful sculptures from
bogwood which is found in the Irish Bogs where it has been preserved for 5,000 years.
There are three types of Bogwood,Oak,Yew,and Pine.
This wood was part of the great forests that covered the central plains of Ireland.
This workshop and studio is located at Barley Harbour, Newtowncashel,Co. Longford.Here the story of this tranformation from rough timber to elegant forms is told through video, photographs, and finally the finished pieces of sculpture.
