We have been performing with ‘ancient’ Greek instruments for 24 years now! This is one of the first songs that we recorded with these instruments (one year later after we received them by the brilliant instrument manufacturer Nikolaos Brass), a song that stood the test of time for almost 1900 years!
The ''Seikilos Epitaph'' is the oldest surviving complete musical composition, including musical notation, from anywhere in the world. This is our first ever interpretation of this ancient song using only an 'ancient' Greek lyre, kymbala('ancient' cymbals) and vocals (female & male) recorded 23 years ago and released for the first time now! The piece was written by Seikilos and was probably dedicated to his deceased wife Euterpe, which said: 'While you live shine, have no grief at all, life exists only for a short while and time demands its toll'.
Released for the first time on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and other digital platforms, enjoy!

Dear friends, we are happy to present you "The Breath of Ydor" from the forthcoming album ''Improvisation in ancient Greek instruments II''. Recorded and mixed in London at the slaughterback studios with long time collaborator Ian Williams. 'Ancient' Greek lyra and female voices by the beautiful Victoria Couper and Rey Day.
An abstract meditative piece that may give you some piece of mind these troubled times that we all experience.
