Today felt like a quiet kind of magic.

We spent the day riding through the roads of North Wales—the ones that know us best. Twisting through valleys we’ve grown up in, waving to sheep like old friends, stopping in Betws-y-Coed for a cuppa and just breathing it all in. There’s something about being here, where every corner holds a memory, that makes time slow down.

We’re so close to leaving now… heading off on this wild, beautiful adventure around the world. But the past few days have been all about home. Family, laughter, familiar skies. And riding through it all on Storm—our dream bike. It still doesn’t feel real. To be here, in our old stomping ground, with everything we’ve ever hoped for humming beneath us… surreal in the best way.

Storm’s starting to feel like part of us. Bit by bit, ride by ride, we’re falling in love with it. It’s strange and lovely and a little overwhelming.

We don’t know what’s waiting for us out there, but we know what we’re riding with—and where we’re riding from. And that means everything.

While Sean’s been buried in tools, mounts, and ā€œjust one more quick,ā€ I’ve been deep in expedition mode—plotting routes, researching visas, decoding ever-changing entry rules, and figuring out how to fit our entire lives into a few panniers… without losing my mind (or my favourite moisturiser).

Every crossing, every country—it’s all been mapped, double-checked, and saved in triplicate. I’ve read government websites in languages I don’t speak, joined forums filled with seasoned overlanders, scrolled through travel blogs at 1 a.m., and made enough spreadsheets to power a small office.

Packing has been its own form of madness. Balancing weight, weather, and those ā€œdo we really need this?ā€ moments (spoiler: usually, yes). It’s like high-stakes Tetris, only with less satisfying sound effects and more ā€œwhere the heck can I put that?ā€ moments. I’ve agonised over what makes the cut—what earns a spot in our limited space. The essentials, the backups, the just-in-case, and yes, the few small comforts that keep me grounded when everything else is chaos.

It’s been a mountain of quiet work, most of it unseen. But that’s the magic of it—Sean’s been building the bike, and I’ve been building the journey. And now, somehow, side by side, it’s all starting to come together. Soon it’ll be just us, the road, and everything I’ve managed to cram into those bags.

Hopefully including my sanity.

Prepping a bike for a weekend ride is one thing. Prepping a bike to ride around the world for two years? That’s a full-time job… and then some. I’ve spent months buried in tabs, forums, spec sheets, and late-night ā€œis-this-overkill-or-genius?ā€ debates with myself. Every piece of kit on Storm has been through a rigorous process: does it solve a real problem? Can it survive the abuse we’re about to throw at it? And does it actually work, or is it just Instagram-fodder in disguise?

Every part on Storm has earned its place. If it’s coming with us, it has a job to do—and it has to do it well. I’ve turned down gear that didn’t feel right, reworked setups more times than I’d like to admit, and spent more nights lying awake thinking about mounting angles than I ever thought possible.

This bike is starting to feel like an extension of me—and that’s the goal. When we’re halfway across a continent, I don’t want to be thinking about whether something will hold up. I want to be riding, filming, and figuring out where we’re sleeping before the sun goes down. Everything on here is chosen with that in mind.

Goodbye, Apartment 19

You were so much more than four walls and a door. You were our first real home — a space we built from the ground up, together.

From sleeping on a mattress in the living room for months, to finally being able to buy our dream coffee machine, it was the little things that made this place perfect. The kind of perfect that isn’t about how it looks, but how it feels.

This was where we danced around the kitchen without a care in the world. Where we made silly videos just to make each other laugh. Where we learned how to live together, love deeper, and build a life we’re proud of.

Apartment 19, you were the beginning. The place where two dreamers figured out how to make a life side by side. You’ll always be special.

And you weren’t just any home — you were our home in Switzerland. I’ll miss watching the sun rise over the Black Forest from our window, or nipping to France for lunch just because we could. This little corner of the world wrapped itself around us and quietly became our home. A piece of our hearts will always belong here.

This was our last night here, and it hit harder than we expected. We’ve poured so much of ourselves into this space. It was the place we called home while building the life we’re now about to ride out into.

But the time has come to trade these walls for open skies. One chapter closes… and the next one doesn’t have four walls at all — just three panniers, and the open road.

Everything we need is packed. And as scary as it is, we’re ready. Because home isn’t just a place — it’s a person. And I get to do this next chapter with the love of my life.

We’re setting off soon, chasing something wild, something unknown, something that’s been calling us for years.

Apartment 19, thank you for the memories. For the warmth. For the laughter. For being the calm before the storm.

The secret’s finally out… we’re riding around the world.

It still doesn’t feel real saying it — just us, the bike, and everything we can carry… packing up our lives and setting off on the biggest adventure we’ve ever dared to dream.

It’s been a hard secret to keep — months of planning, doubting, dreaming… and if we’re honest, a fair bit of stressing too. We’ve lived in the in-between for so long now, slowly watching our lives shift around this decision. Until suddenly, the secret felt heavier than the miles ahead.

And now, we’re ready. Ready to close one chapter and start another — one written in dirt tracks, border stamps, and those ridiculous moments you just can’t make up.

Over 80,000km. Through mountains, deserts, cities, and the middle of absolutely nowhere. Day in, day out — we’ll be living it, riding it, and sharing every single part of it.

We’re not chasing perfection. No highlight reel, no sugarcoating - and definitely no over-dramatised edits or clickbait titles. We’re here for the whole messy, beautiful, unpredictable story. The tough days. The breakdowns (mechanical and emotional). The wild places that steal your breath — and the quiet moments that remind you exactly why you chose to live life this way.

And the best part? We’re taking you with us. Every mile. Every moment. Every laugh, wrong turn, and ā€œwhat the hell are we doingā€ along the way — daily vlogs, every raw detail, exactly as it happens.

At the end of the day, it’s just the two of us…
Surviving questionable border crossings, chasing sunsets, and proving — once again — we’re just two fools in love, riding off into the unknown.

What could possibly go wrong?

Here’s to the road, the risks, and the ride — with all our love,
S & E

Meet Storm, our BMW R 1300 GSA. āš”ļøšŸŒ

Built for the long road, the high passes, and the wild unknown. No borders, no limits—just the open road and a world waiting to be explored.

Huge thanks to BMW Motorrad for making this dream a reality. The path ahead is calling, and what’s coming... well, that’s classified.

This is just the beginning.
