We are devastated by the loss one of our own this weekend. Kel was one of our beloved mods, and we are so blessed and grateful to have had her for as long as we did.

Kerry "kelgarumo" Labay unexpectedly passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 14th. She loved tacos and snark, her real family, and her mod family. She was a wonderful mentor to all of our mods. She was generous to a fault and cared about everyone.
She worked for NASA and missed not being able to continue due to unimaginable chronic pain. She could no longer care for cats on her own, so she poured her love for them into every single cat and kitten at TinyKittens. She dedicated her last six years to volunteering for TinyKittens, making chatters feel safe and welcome, providing information, and spreading the word about cat overpopulation and our rescue efforts, with a smile and ever present (more than 4 if we let her) emojis.
She will be missed by all of us very much, and is opening and closing her umbrella all the time now.

This week, you made it possible for us to save Sidney. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to meet the matching donation challenge issued by our wonderful group of anonymous donors, and Sidney was able to get his perineal urethrostomy surgery (along with this ADORABLE poodle-butt hairdo). π»
Sidney is recovering very well, and his wonderful humans have been taking such great care of him to make sure he has a smooth recovery. We are so grateful to his humans, because he just showed up on their property one day, and they started taking care of him. They didn't have to do that, and many people don't. They have gone so far above and beyond to give him the best possible life.
So, thank you for giving us this happy story, and for always being here for us when we need you. β€οΈ

We are so grateful to have this opportunity to double the impact of every donation, especially today, as we are dealing with another life-or-death situation for a special cat in our community.
Sidney is the handsome cat in this photo. He showed up out of nowhere last year on a rural property, and the kind property owners started feeding and caring for him, and reached out to us when he began showing signs of illness.
We discovered Sidney has issues with urinary blockages and has anatomical anomalies our regular vet hasn't seen in his whole 30-year career. Sidney is currently at @bbvsh receiving intensive care, pain management, and preparing for perineal urethrostomy surgery.
Because he's a complicated case, sending him to a specialty hospital will give him his best chance of making a full recovery and living the pain-free, healthy life he has always deserved. We will keep you posted on how he's doing!
We wouldn't be able to help complicated cats like Sidney without the steadfast support and generosity of our amazing #TinyVillage, and we are so very grateful for you, every single day. π
