From the sayings of the Salaf (pious predecessors) regarding Dua:

Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): "Indeed, I do not worry about the acceptance of the Dua, but I worry about the Dua itself. For if I am inspired to make Dua, then its acceptance is with it."

Abu Darda: "Supplicate to Allah in your times of ease, so perhaps He will respond to you in your times of hardship."

Al-Hasan, that Abu Darda used to say: "Be earnest in supplication, for whoever knocks persistently at the door is about to have it opened for him."

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When the supplicant combines with their supplication the presence of the heart and it coincides with one of the six times of response - [the last third of the night, at the time of the call to prayer (Adhan), between the Adhan and the Iqamah, after the obligatory prayers, when the Imam ascends the pulpit on Friday until the prayer is concluded, and the last hour after the Asr prayer on Friday] - and it coincides with humility in the heart, a sense of brokenness before the Lord, submissiveness, earnestness, and tenderness; and the supplicant faces the Qiblah, is in a state of purity, raises their hands to Allah, begins with praising Allah and glorifying Him, follows with prayers upon His servant and Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), then precedes their need with repentance and seeking forgiveness; then enters upon Allah with persistence in the request, implores Him with desire and awe, and uses His names, attributes, and oneness as a means; and precedes their supplication with charity; then such a supplication is rarely rejected."

"True Happiness Lies in Taqwa"

A noble Quran, a simple home, light possessions, a cup of water and bread, and clean clothes—these are enough to enrich your life.

Solitude is the kingdom of thoughts, and the cure is found in the pharmacy of Dhikr.

If you rise each day obedient to your Lord, with contentment in your heart, security in your life, and satisfaction with your provision, then you have attained happiness, received abundant blessings, and reached true leadership.

Know that this world is deceptive, it’s not worth the worry of even an hour. So, dedicate it to your Lord through your efforts and devotion. Do you grieve over a fleeting world?

Have you forgotten the gardens of paradise? Do you feel confined, yet Allah is your Lord? Do you shed tears when Allah is your protector? Grief disappears with a prostration, and joy comes with a prayer.

Health, when constant, is often ignored; when lost, it is realized. So always be thankful to Allah. Sitting after the obligatory prayer is one of the greatest moments in which the mercy of Allah descends.

Don’t rush to get up. Seek forgiveness, glorify Allah, and recite Ayat al-Kursi. Remember, you are in the company of the Most Merciful.{"So when you have finished [your duties], stand up [for worship]. And to your Lord direct [your] longing."}
