With Dark Side of Social Media finished, the next video will be āDisturbing Lost Media from Japan: Volume 2.ā I will be taking a mental health break before I get that video out though, as working hard on longer videos (and multitasking some other planned content-related projects) has been quite stressful and draining as of late š
I hope you guys look forward to that next video, but I really need to focus on self care and myself for like a week minimum first.
This is my livelihood, and I really do need regular content releases to stay afloat, so taking a break feels stressful in itself. But I acknowledge that I need to prioritize self care right now nonetheless.

HUGE AKIBA TAPE NEWS! Japanese YouTuber āŖ@THEtuburoā¬ has recently uncovered new clues regarding who mightāve made the Akiba Tape lostwave song (AKA Fly Away).
This video discusses someone named Mikio Sato, who made Yumedemo Iikara (formerly referred to as Wagamama, and was a lostwave song found on a tape at the same secondhand shop as the Akiba Tape).
Someone online noticed that Mikio composed a 1992 song named Onna Tomodachi that sounded a lot like Fly Away, especially the guitar and drums. Another song of his, Rain, had the same feel.
Mikio was also a guitarist in the 80s. Many have noted that the guitar in Fly Away sounds professional while the rest isnāt as polished. Mikio also made music for plays and TV commercials, which matches some previous leads surrounding the ARA company logo on the tape itself.
This link could also explain why OP also had a promo tape from the food company Ajinomoto that looked just like the Akiba Tape and was purchased from the same shop.
ā¼ļøTLDR: Tsuburoās guess is that Fly Away was potentially made for a play and that stage production was never released anywhere.

For those who didnāt know, that series was on hiatus for a while so I could take a break from such dark subject matter. I was in a little rough patch with life stuff and my health, and it was hard to research it while I just wasnāt strong enough mentally at the time. All that said, Iām better now, and I sincerely appreciate all the patience and kindness while I took the time I needed ā¤ļøāš©¹
