Making a video on how JUDO changed my BJJ!
And I need your help on which topics you're interested in seeing. So far, here's my list:
- how judo fixed my stance (better defense)
- how judo made me safer falling in BJJ
- the value of leg grabs and wrestling in BJJ
- the options you get in BJJ from knowing just a couple throws
- importance of grip fighting

I won a BJJ tournament yesterday!
Well, my gi division anyway 😂 And then got 2nd in no-gi. This is the best I've felt in a purple belt tournament yet, and I'm not doing anymore weight cutting, so I moved up to middleweight! This is my 75th tournament overall, and my 5th at purple belt!

We wanted to find out if our jiu jitsu and judo would help us at all, and some of the results were pretty unexpected! (Especially when I went up against a 140-lb teenager and a 400-something pound Georgian sumo champ)

I’m competing in sumo!
I’ve never trained sumo before, and my first tournament is in 2 weeks. I’m hoping my judo experience can help me..? 🫣
