Why Alfa and not Alpha: Alfa is the phonetic spelling for the letter A in the NATO alphabet. They spelled it that way because only 2 of the NATO countries languages have PH making the F sound. So internationally you will find it spelled ALFA.
The Star: The channel Logo is a Army Air Corps Star that was hand painted on my wifes grandfathers footlocker. He joined the Corps before our involvement in WW2 and served In the Pacific Theater during the war working on the Allison engines in the P-39 and P-38's.

My old handle is named after Johann Nicolaus von Dreyse - German firearms inventor of Dreyse needle gun It also Refers to the 1907 Dreyse (named in honor of Mr. Dreyse) that my grandfather brought home from WWII.
