Check out this interesting statistic. These are all the landfall locations of major hurricanes in the U.S. since 2017. Note they're all along the Gulf Coast and none on Florida's East Coast.

Milton is knocking on the door of CAT5 once again! 155mph winds and 923mb pressure. Milton is just starting to enter the loop currently and all its 90 degree temp waters to fuel further strengthening b4 entering a higher wind shear environment as it approaches the Fl coastline tomorrow!

Milton appears to be at the beginning of an eye wall replacement cycle. 3.8 mile wide eye is about to get a lot bigger temporarily weakening/decreasing the max winds. Once finished, the eye will begin to shrink again and potentially bring this storm to even stronger record levels as it travels over the very warm loop current tomorrow! 5th strongest Atlantic hurricane could still get stronger!
