You guys asked, so this week will be the first video in a new series where I will be opening my crochet colour journal and sharing my square colour combos with you. I will share the names of the colour and the brands of the yarns I use and how and why I place them the way I do. It is a work in progress and I plan to make this a regular addition to my video library here on YouTube. The first one will be out this Sunday. I'm counting on you guys to let me know what you think and what you want to see more of.
In the mean time be sure you have checked out last week's video where I share some of my tips on how I plan out my colour palettes and keep track of my yarn colours with sample squares, and yarn cards.

You guys thought my variety of squares would look good as a blanket, so here are some inspirational pics of using my Join As You Go method. One is done with a White contrast, giving a bright and snowy look, and the other is done using the deep moss green for a more classic look. I love how just changing up colours can change the entire mood of a piece. Watch for the square tutorial coming today, See you there. Happy Crocheting ❤️

Hey Gang, I've been taking some time to just allow myself to create, new ideas come when I step back and just let myself play and make "bad" art, lol. So for now here is a version of the Graceful Diamond Square done with a simple sc, ch 1 border in a few different colours. I will be back soon with a new tutorial, the Sand Dollar Squared is in process and should be up within the week. Until then remember to take time, play and make lots of beautiful imperfect pieces. 😃❤️

I have a question for all of you. ( Question is below ) I LOVE to work with colour and I could "paint" with yarn all day. Some days I just listen to audio books and make the same square in 10 different colour ways. So I have ALOT of squares in my stash. I have done some images up of some of them with the colours I use. My QUESTION: Would you like to see more of these squares done in a variety of colour ways with the colours I use listed in the image ?
If so do you want me to post them on the blog post that goes with that particular pattern? Let me know in the comments, I appreciate hearing your thoughts as my goal is to inspire all of you to play, create and have fun with colour.

Ok, If you've been following along, it's no secret that colouring with yarn is one of my all-time favourite past times! So, of course, I had to tackle the Happy Petal Pillow using the Mystic Harmony square ( again ) but this time using the same colour style and see how close I could get to the original. With the squares turning out a bit larger, it only took 9 to complete! I’m pretty sure I could fill my entire house with pillows in all my different square colour ways, haha! Working on another square tutorial and I would love your thoughts! I have had a many requests to turn the Sand Dollar Octagon into Square. I have been playing with these Holiday colours, trying out different placements. So just for Fun, Let me know with your vote which one you like the best. Colour placement can really change up the look of a square. I have tried many other combos, but apparently I can only put up 4 here, so these are my favs. Love to hear what your fav is.
