Working Through this Series on how to make many shapes from a simple circle. Last week was the Square and this week we are doing the Hexagon. These are great for using up scraps and making fun projects like pillows, trivets and even blankets. So much colourful home decor. While you wait for tomorrow's tutorial to drop, You can catch the first one on the Square here https://youtu.be/rshUSVCjG-s

You asked and I heard you, so the first two videos in this series are out... the most important two. Here I show you how I weave my ends in As I Go...SECURELY! No Slipping out!!
......
The 1st video is Single Crochet, solid & chain st in between https://youtu.be/8wlZQYiz-pc
The 2nd video is Double Crochet, solid & chain stitch in between https://youtu.be/JbaT3fsUpfA

......
I hope these help inspire you to create granny squares with lots of colour, you are going to find the process so much smoother and you can get right to joining your squares, instead of dreading all those ends.
Enjoy !

These little Zippy Hexagons are GREAT for using up odds and ends! Scrap Buster Heaven. I have a few of these throws in the works, so far this is the only one I have finished. You can find the Zippy Hexagon tutorial here https://youtu.be/KPs7bia1_NY

- then you can either whip stitch them, or you can use the JAYGO method. -

I have a tutorial for that too, each round you add is slightly different, but the basic method is here https://youtu.be/tlHOIM6SIHw

** AND YES, I will be putting together a full tutorial on making a hexagon throw with JAYGO, in the near future

Does anyone else have a habit of turning random granny squares into coasters, out of necessity lol??! Like if I have a coffee and I can't find one of my "actual" crochet coasters, then a random granny square it is! Such a useful hobby if you think about it. How often am I at friends and they say, hang on I'll find you a coaster........as they search the house for a coaster!! Well let me tell ya, I never have that problem!

Ok, guys Question Time. Crochet Stitch Tutorials - The First 12 Basic Stitches are in this compilation https://youtu.be/BHdDwpweR90

What I want to know is what other groups of stitches would you like to see or is there a particular symbol you would love to have explained? Let me know in the comments if there is one in particular

Which of these Are You? Or are you like me and you have tried all 4 and depends on the day and your mood!!

I choose one of these depending on the finished item, how much space and time I am working with and honestly how much energy I have!! Sometimes, I am just not in the mood to block. I have to admit, those smaller squares really don't need any help. But I do appreciate when I take the time as it makes joining the squares so much smoother and the finished item sits so much nicer. But even if I don't block, I will always give it a little freshen up before I gift the item.

Want to learn more about Blocking, and how I tackle this task, check out my video here https://youtu.be/8Ozou77Ge_M
