I'm back! I was out of the country for a bit, but I'm back! Tonight is Loma vs. Haney!! My thoughts. Devin is the younger, bigger man. Devin has superior hand speed and appears to be more athletic. However, Lomachenko has a crazy amount of experience and has shown the ability to figure things out late. Devin makes critical mistakes defensively. This will provide Lomachenko opportunities to work his way inside and counter the jab of Devin. Ultimately, Devin will have to be better than both Kambosos performances to get this done. Lomachenko at anything less than 100% has a very low chance to get this done.
The Push: That was weak of Devin. He exposed himself a bit, and I hope he dials it in come fight time. Lomachenko showing the composure that he did in that moment has changed the minds of many boxing spectators.
Final prediction: This fight will have more action than some anticipate. Devin's speed and offense will show early. I expect Lomachenko to be aggressive from the start, pressure Devin, and force him into mistakes. Ultimately, the bigger moments will go towards Lomachenko, and he eks out a decision victory to become undisputed. Let me know what you all think.
