I think it's time to make a pretty big announcement for the channel.
I've thought about this for a long time and it wasn't an easy choice on my part, but I've made the decision that I will no longer do writing comparisons between characters or works until I will change my mind, and I don't know if or when I will do them again. I know that some of you (among the few who survived the decline of the channel <:) may be unhappy or disappointed by this choice, but it's not without motivation and it's not what I would want in the first place. However, I've come to the conclusion that writing scaling is a topic that some people take too seriously and that creates a climate of elitism and toxicity among those who should simply appreciate and enjoy the works. Since I started scaling works based on their writing level, with my limited knowledge and no doubt sometimes influenced by personal bias, I've felt a less genuine attachment to fiction and this goes in stark contrast to all the principles that bind me to reading, cinema and art in general. I have had the opportunity to read some pretty nasty comments about myself due to some of my opinions regarding the writing of certain characters, and although they have not offended me, they have helped me understand how useless and even harmful this practice is. And of course, I too have sometimes gotten carried away by assuming the wrong attitudes in discussions regarding writing. I know you might think that this type of reasoning should also be applied to SCD comparisons and therefore I should not make videos anymore, but the reality is that I care much more about writing than SCD, it is a field in which I would like to do more in real life too and for this very reason I do not want to ruin or damage the relationship I have with it.
The writing tournament between smart characters is therefore, unfortunately, interrupted, and this brings me a lot of regret given that it was a project I worked on for over a year and to which I perhaps should have dedicated more effort.
The only exceptions could be comparisons between works of literature, but they will be quite rare and in any case made in a more original way and with fewer pretensions. Added to all these reasons is the fact that I have never managed, for various factors, to connect to any writing scalers community, so carrying on with the videos with few opportunities for comparison had ended up boring me too.
In any case, you might wonder what will happen now to the space left by the writing comparisons. Well, it will be occupied by comparisons between historical figures, now that I am trying to create a small community about it with my fellows @Ockhamsbarber2392 and @Azraelyc , I hope it will not be a too disdainful choice, after all even the views of the writing videos were falling so I deduce that your interest was also decreasing.
I close by saying that all this does not mean that the analyses will end, which instead I could produce in slightly greater numbers, of writing.
