Ahoy Youtube friends!

Hope you're doing well.

We've been a bit quiet here recently, but we have a lot of exciting news to share.

We'll be releasing some videos soon with a proper update, but for now we want to invite you to our first sailing retreat! We've teamed up with our friend Florian to host a week of sailing, freediving and yoga on his beautiful 50ft catamaran.

This is something we've been talking about doing from before we even owned Navika, so it's very exciting to see it finally taking shape. The idea is to combine everything we love most about being on the water. It'll be a unique experience where we'll go on a sailing adventure together, explore our limits, learn new skills and take plenty of time to recharge and connect with nature.

We'll be departing from Olbia, Sardinia on the 23rd of September 2023.

You can find all the details here:

navika-retreats.carrd.co/

Go check it out, we'd love to meet some of you on the water. Reach out if you have any questions :)

3 years ago this week we signed the contract and bought Navika! ⛵️

Can’t believe how fast these last 3 years have gone, and yet it feels we’ve spent a lifetime on the water already.

Buying Navika happened really fast for us. In July 2019, I turned to Lars one evening and said ‘I think we’re going to be on a boat by the end of the year’. Whilst we’d had the idea for a while, that was the moment we started taking it seriously and started our boat search. We only saw one other boat before Navika but immediately had the feeling she was the right one for us. 3 weeks after seeing her for the first time we recklessly signed the paperwork and became proud boat owners! 📝

Knowing what we know now, we’re still so pleased with the choice we made with the budget we had available at the time. We’ve sailed over 7000nm in the past 3 years and still so much to explore. Thank you all for following our journey so far, sending any virtual help and encouraging words along the way! It's been a blast 🥳

We've finally released part 1 of our Atlantic crossing! We had a bit of a hiccup before leaving... and a nice surprise from somebody but we finally set sail on the 2300nm passage ahead of us towards the Caribbean. Let us know what you think in the comments :) watch video on watch page

Ahoy! Wow we've never used this Community feature before on our channel. Might as well take the opportunity to share that after taking a break for a good month for us to focus on crossing the Atlantic (spoiler alert) we're now back and super excited to share what we've been up to in the past couple of months and all the amazing places we've sailed to! Lots of good stuff coming.

We're so happy to be in the Caribbean and grateful that we had a safe Atlantic passage! Took us 17 days from Cape Verde to Martinique :)

We just read through some of the comments that we missed during our break. Thank you so much for your support and kind words! And a big shout out to our little community of Patrons! You are awesome.

Hope you're good wherever you are. Here's a new video release today - Ep. 46. Enjoy and see you in the comments section.

Alex & Lars x
