I'm curious, do you watch YouTube shorts?

I took a little break from YouTube to do some experimentation and skill development but work is in progress for the next video!

I’m excited to try some new things with the format.

AI replacing human art on the internet has inspired me to bring in some more hand-drawn visual elements.

It adds more hours but I don’t mind because it’s making the creative process fun again.

Have a great weekend!

Sometimes, I don't know where to start with journaling or writing about a topic.

When the blank page stumps me I go back to journaling prompts to get my brain flowing. There's something about a question that always gets the gears moving.

I have a free PDF of 26 journaling prompts that over 200 people have used to overcome the blank page.

If you haven't already, grab them for free here: zaccland-media.kit.com/26journalingprompts

Everyone has activities that drain them or fuel them with energy.
But often it's your approach to an activity that makes the difference.

For instance, my wife loves playing video games in story mode because the experience of exploring energizes her. I can't stand playing a video game unless it's on the maximum difficulty. The challenge energizes me, and the lack of it is draining. When creative work loses its luster, I know it's because I'm not challenging myself.

[Daily Meditation]

What activities drain you of your energy, and which ones refuel you? How can you make the "drainers" more energizing?

One hour of reading every morning will lead to 50 finished books over the year.
Writing 200 words for 365 days will culminate in a finished novel.
Small habits lead to big changes over time.

Where might your current habits–good or bad– lead you in 5 years?

There has never been, and will never be, another replica of you. Unfortunately, most people hide their uniqueness out of fear of standing out. The irony is people remember the odd and admire them for having the courage to show it.

What is something unique or special about you that isn't common in your social circles?

Life is full of surprises.

Growing up, I despised writing assignments, dismissed social media, and didn't have a single journaling session until I was in my 30s.

Never in a million years did I think I would be a writer and a notebook-loving YouTuber, but here I am, grateful for every twist and turn.

How has your path in life surprised you?

Everyone is after the quick fix or the instant hack to fast-track their progress. Whenever I've believed something should come naturally or that I was somehow entitled to a result, reality has reminded me that belief is a delusion.

Where are you seeking shortcuts to avoid the work?
What specific actions are you taking to create the kind of mind you desire?

If no one was looking, what would you be working on?
If money didn't matter, would you be doing something different?

Your values and decisions are altered by the incentives in your life.
If you're chasing money, your values will shapeshift to acquire it.
If attention is your aim, your behavior will morph to capture it.

But what would you do without the mimetic mirror of society telling you what matters?
