this would happen the day I upload my 2.0 wishes video 💀 thinking about doing a series where I read the release notes in scenic places because nobody ever reads them in detail.
Just wrapped up my first real life gig since March! Feeling very lucky and happy to be back behind a console and working with other people again. Corporate broadcast work is much different than concerts, but it’s good practice to reframe my programming workflow.
The final numbers are in! Thank you to every single one of you who spread the word and tuned in to our fundraiser. With your help and the generosity of our sponsors and donors, our crew was able to raise over $10k for the Crew Nation relief fund.
I have to admit, I was wary of just handing all this money for another organization to handle distribution, but I’ve been seeing that people who needed help after losing their gigs have been able to apply and receive these grants. And even just today I received a message from someone who was able to apply and get financial aid. If you are an event professional who has had work evaporate, please consider applying for a grant through Live Nation’s Crew Nation fund.
This community and industry never ceases to amaze me. Thanks again.
Don’t worry... they’re just going to the farm up north for a while...
In case you have not heard, YouTube unfortunately does not allow live streams with weapons. Seeing as that the whole point of our fundraiser tomorrow is the shoot up dozens of old, broken and obsolete pieces of lighting gear, we can only stream to that *other* popular streaming site :) you can get all the details on my website: www.christian-jackson.com/shootout
So far I’ve been blown away by the amount of support we’ve received and we are going to really be able to put a good donation towards the Crew Nation relief fund. THANK YOU.
Remember: even if you can’t donate it is still so tremendously helpful to tune in and watch :)
Deep in the final edit for a full 20+ min conclusion to our bumberhsoot vlog. These things take so much time to put together but It’ll be nice to get everyone back on a virtual gig through the screen like the good old days right? On track to publish tomorrow, so stay tuned. Maybe we should do a premiere? Or just normal video upload?
Ok guys. Moment of truth... just got my Redco patch panel and I am wiring it up tonight. However, the ultimate question is this... do I wire the True 1 output to the UPS backup output, or wire it directly with the power input so I can link my MA directly without running it through my rack UPS? Or maybe I should add an a/b switch so I can decide whether the output is run off the battery backup or direct from 120v input 🧐
On my channel, I explore the world of live event production and the equipment used to put on full-scale events from a behind the scenes perspective. Here you'll find my vlogs from real-world shows, tutorials, demos, and more.
