It's been a while, but despite the apparent lack of visible progress GenEvo was/is being worked on all this time. While I'm not a project lead anymore, I still keep an eye on it, as well as contribute to the project from time to time. Mark your calendars.

Hey Everyone! My weird concept of a weapon, HGB Flak, returns to HL1MMod v2 as a secret hidden weapon.

I honestly can't recall what HGB means anymore, it's been a while, but weapon itself is a mix of Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament and secondary fire mode of Bolt Gun ( Heater ) from Painkiller. HGB Flak shoots 8 super heated depleted uranium pellets which pierce and explode on collision with anything organic, as well as any breakable object, they bounce off the rest. Pellets don't just cool down if they don't collide with anything, they become critical after a while and explode doing small amount of damage on a very small radius.

Current v_ model is still temporary, unless I don't find anything more fitting.

Some more GenEvo progress, sgor00 finished porting all ground textures, even went extra mile and enhanced each and every ground texture we ever used with custom hand crafted bump maps and accurate specular maps for light interactions and reflections. Working on actual gameplay now since majority of assets have been ported.

In an effort to make Hivehand less useless it receives its own Weapon Function mechanic, in this case - tertiary attack, which consumes all 8 hornets and releases them in a small sack that scares away smarter enemies when it's airborne. Upon destruction this sack deals small poison damage and releases all 8 hornets into random directions which then home in on nearest enemies. Useful for clearing corners and as a distraction while switching/comboing weapons.

Visuals are still work in progress, there's also a plan to add this attack to Alien Grunts in the future.

"Projectile Bullets" for Half-Life: MMod, they're optional replacement of all hitscan bullets ( for player and monsters/turrets ), that have travel time. They're slower, which makes them easier to see and actually dodge.

I have finished porting faction structures from older build into the new build, they're still more or less dummies, but at least they're part of the mod now. Next up WorldBuilder stuff and then polish. Incredibly tired, but I have to force myself to move on.
