So, I just got back from a big backpacking trip in Kootenay National Park. It was awesome, but the weather did turn, and it got a little bit dicey at the top. There's nothing like a little snow to end off summer, eh! Anyways, I'm now back in Radium Hotsprings recovering and refueling with the local big horn sheep😂. Anyways I'm getting closer to end of my big road trip, but I think I have one final push in me. I'm thinking about heading back into Alberta for another week before I really start making my way home.
I am still wanting to do a youtube live, but I haven't really figured out a good time to do it. The only chance real chance I've had have been during Sunday or Monday night football, which doesn't seem like the ideal time. So if you still have any questions for me, let it rip. I definitely have a few stories to tell, and I have gotten a few questions from the people already. Like why do people call me Sarge, why am I scared of motorcycles, how living the vanlife has affected my health, and the number one question, why do I not put a god damn fishing rod in the water while I'm canoeing? All those questions will be answered and more, I'm just waiting for the right time to do it. I might give some advanced warning, but I also might just randomly go live. I guess it all depends on if I get lonely or not😂.
Anyways, that's my life right now. I just thought I'd give you all an update, and as always, thanks to everyone for watching. It's awesome to feel the support, and it always feels great when I get back to cell service and I have a bunch of lovely comments to come back to. You guys really know how to make a guy feel special!

Greetings from Climax Saskatchewan! 100% of my instagram followers that voted told me to go here, so I did. Unfortunately, I guess this means that everything can only go down from here.
I have been in and out of service and haven't seen shade in 4 days, so if anyone feels like I've been ignoring your comments, that's why. The in and out of service might continue, but it's supposed to drop 10 plus degrees tomorrow. Which is much appreciated because I'm cooked.

Update from the road: I'm deep into Alberta now. I bought a cowboy hat and witnessed a wicked sunset tonight. Things are good. I'm on day 24 of my big summer vanlife road trip, which sounds like a long time, but I feel like I've barely started. I have this voice in my head telling me to go east, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to push into Saskatchewan at some point. I'm even pretty seriously considering going to Regina for the Labour Day Classic CFL game. Nothing feels more Saskatchewan than that. Here's an update from the road. So I'm on day 11 of my trip, and I just recently got off of canoeing Murtle Lake. Murtle Lake was sweet, but there was a fire in the area, which was kind of weird. After getting back to town, there was another fire just north of me in Valemount. Which is where I wanted to go today. I think I could stay there, but I don't really know the situation, so I went back to Blue River. Now I'm chilling here until I eventually move on. I lost a shock bolt, and I need to get to a real town to find a new bolt. It's an easy fix, but this place has nothing better than a convience store. It's not all bad though, this place has free cold and creepy showers, what else do you need?

I'm loaded up and heading out the door right now for a 2 month vanlife road trip. I don't really know where I'm going or what I'm doing, the big wildfire in Jasper changed a lot of my plans. Not complaining, I will be alright, I do my best work when I'm winging it. Next 3 weeks of videos are already uploaded and ready to go, then the videos from this new road trip will start after that. Cheers!

I'm all loaded up and heading to the Bowron Lakes. If you didn't know, it's a 116 kilometer canoe circuit here in BC. I'm heading up a little early, so I have some time to enjoy some of the sights on the drive. I should be able to make some pretty sweet videos from this trip, so that's what you should expect to see moving forward on this channel. While I'm gone, I do have a couple of videos scheduled to come out on the next 2 Wednesdays at 11am. Hopefully that works out properly, because otherwise I'll be out of range😂

So big news here at SARGEinc.I reached my first goal of 1000 subscribers, and since we like round numbers here, we're celebrating! First, I'm finally releasing the videos of my big 130 kilometer solo canoe trip of Revelstoke Lake from last summer. Part 1 will go live today(may 1st) at noon, and part 2 will come out next week at the same time.
Second, I promised to give away a limited edition SARGEinc branded lifestraw away at 1000 subscribers. I will do that in it's own 1000 subscriber celebration video next Sunday, May 11th. I should have some more channel updates in that video as well.
Third, since we're always moving forward here, I'm already on the hunt for my next 1,000 subscribers. I also like to be prepared, so I already have a Firemaple gas lantern to give away when I hit 2,000 subscribers!

I did something totally different in today's video. Mike Z told me that eating was "my lane", so I decided to eat an entire box of donuts from The Hive Donut Hut. I'm not 100% sure it's exactly my lane, but I do enjoy eating...
Anyways, the donuts were good, and even if this isn't the future, it was at least a good break from the fan repairs. With that said, I'm heading back outside now to work on the van...

I loaded up the van to do some snowshoeing and winter camping, and my front wheel almost came off on the drive. Turns out finger tourqued lug nuts won't stand up to highway speeds😂
Anyways, I guess I'm lucky that it didn't actually come off while driving. I definitely did some damage to the brakes, but hopefully it didn't wreck anything else while it was wobbling. Real amature move not making sure it was properly torqued after having the wheel off yesterday.

I built a 1998 GMC Safari into the a lifted, 4x4 swapped, lean, mean, overlanding machine. I am taking that all over BC and Alberta, doing adventures, and then taking over the world.
