Here's a long post about change. Specifically, changes Ive made to my Jeep since 2016.

Bought in Greenville, TN on March 26, 2016.

First modifications: kept it stock for a bit, but fell into the trap of upgrading wheels and tires
and mind you, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with this jeep at the time, so I got rid of the stock wheel and tire combo, and headed down to my local 4wp and picked up the cheapest 20” Moto metal wheels, and some pro comp tires in May. That didn’t last long.

July 2016 - upgraded the headlights and fogs with some Evolution J series lights from JW speaker which are still on the Jeep today.

January 2017 - Bought some AEV wheels and some 35” BFG KO2s and a 3.5” sport lift from teraflex, some fox 2.0 adventure series shocks. I dont know what it is about the way the jeep looked back then, stock fenders and all
but looking back on it. It was a super clean setup.

March 2018 - now that the modification bug had officially bit me, I went back down to the 4wp and picked up some smittlybilt XRC fenders, which admittedly was a bad move, and a big waste of time and money, plus they looked horrendous - like a weird duck driving down the road. I also picked up the XRC front and rear bumpers which happen to still be on the Jeep today.
(Intro)

Fast forward to December 2018, I upgraded to a 3.5” Teraflex long-arm lift, a falcon stabilizer and the Falcon 3.1 adjustable piggyback shocks, the teraflex alpha tire carrier and finally got myself a winch. By this time, I was really starting to get into the whole wheeling outside of Florida thing, and the bug bit me again.

July 2019 - ran the GA traverse with Peach State overland as part of a fundraising event in August to fight against ALS. In preparation for that, it was time for more upgrades

Given that the trip was going to be a 3-4 day thing, upgraded the front axle from the stock dana 30 to a teraflex HD 44, and updated the gearing to 4.56 from 3.73 and added front and rear lockers. Then to run the lockers, I put in a single arb compressor and a switch pod to run all that. I also installed a rack that attached to the tire carrier to store some things that didn’t need to be in the vehicle with me.

November 2019 - I built a custom drawer system for the back of the Jeep, which was perfect for my cooler, kitchen things and recovery gear, albeit it weighed a ton.

December 2019 - I bought a Smittybilt Roof Top tent and the backbone roof rack and pioneer platform from Rhino Rack.

Shit hit the fan in 2020, but right there at the end of it, I ditched the stock front sway bar, and installed the antirock in the front and I swapped out the old RTT to a pop-up-hardshell RTT. Spoiler... that didn’t last long either.

May 2021 - moved up to 37” Toyo open country MT tires and Teraflex Nomad wheels, and oddly enough, back to a regular RTT.
And then after some considerable thought, I finally got rid of the heavy steel XRC fenders and went with some really cheap, but really good looking plastic fenders from KBD - seriously - like less than $300 for all 4, and they’re still on the jeep right now.

Now the really fun stuff

January 2022 - upgraded from the dana 44s to wide, full-float 60s in the front and rear, 4.88 with arb lockers. - this was all in prep for the MAJOR upgrade in the not too distant future.

March 11, 2022 - The Jeep was loaded up on the trailer and headed out to MoTech LLC in Vegas for a heart transplant of sorts. The good ole V6 had given me 100k miles of joy
but it was time for some v8 fun by installing a Gene Lt1 and a 10speed transmission.

August 2022 - 40s! Upgraded to Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires!

June 2023 - Beadlocks - upgraded to Teraflex Olympus Beadlock wheels, and some skid plates in prep for the rubicon.

And there ya have it, now your’e up to date.
