i honestly love owning just the right amount of clothes these days. no overconsumption, no underconsumption; simply allowing my intuition to guide my style through the seasons.

i thought i wasn’t worth hearing. wasn’t worth seeing. wasn’t worth knowing and loving. no. i didn’t believe these things consciously, but i’d subconsciously accepted these lies and allowed them to guide my actions for years.
but the more i chose to embrace my authenticity - the more i showed up as myself unapologetically no matter who saw (yes even my mama) - the more things changed for the better.
for far too long, i was a wounded healer seeking to help guide others. i was used to being chosen as the teacher, mother, lover but was often overgiving my powerful essence. i had to be quiet, grief, and release all connections, habits, and ideas that perpetuated this unhealthy and draining dynamic.
in that time, i learned to speak thru my art. painting brushstrokes felt like exhales. spontaneously singing melodies revived my heart. getting back into my poetic flow reignited a flame in me.
i began to allow my inner voice to release its protest and praise thru my creative work. soon, i dared to share it publicly.
sharing my creations is still vulnerable for me. i still second guess it at times. but i’m learning that having the ability to articulate my anger, joy, surprise, grief, and love in this way is something worth sharing.
i hope this inspires you to share yours too.
