I stopped by UCLA yesterday to drop off 100 GabeMax Air headphones to kids in treatment for various cancers.
I think it’s important when you’re initially facing something that seems impossible to overcome, that you can find inspiration and motivation from someone whose popped up on the other side (mostly 🤪) unscathed whose been able to return to normal life and even do things that some people might feel is impossible like following their dreams to create and release music on a major platform.
I’m continuing to send these out to different hospitals around the country because when I first went into treatment I was gifted a box that included noise cancelling headphones which helped me block out all the stressful sounds of the hospital and focus on what brought me peace, music. I hope I can bring a little bit of that peace and hope to someone going through what I went through.
Speaking of what I went through, I have the next step of good news in my journey. As of my last testing with my doctors I’m currently NED which stands for “No Evidence of Disease”. With my cancer type, this is incredible news and almost as rare as the disease itself. I still have a long way to go though and have new scans in March. I need to go about 5 years NED for the first big step of going into remission and 10 years before I’m technically considered free of cancer, but right now this is a big win for me and a big win for my Cancer type.

So guys the day is here. The Climax haha. After nearly a year of chemo and post diagnosis I go in for the big surgery 🔪 and its a pretty wild one. Anywhere from 12-24 hours will be the timeline starting at 5:30 am September 28th Eastern Time. By the time many of you read this I’ll already be in surgery, and for some I may already be out. Chemo has gotten the tumors down as small as possible and the surgery goal is to get whats left out. The wild part if you can stomach it is something called HIPEC surgery which comes basically around the same time. I’m not going to explain it all here because its pretty wild and intense but if you want to Google it go right ahead and let me know what you think after you see it 😂 This will be followed by over a month of daily radiation.
After the surgery I’ve got a long road to recovery, approximately 2.5 months. Lucky for you guys we filmed a bunch of content before hand to hold you guys over 📽️ haha and maybe an old friend could take over for a bit if I need more time.
Me and my label had a meeting today and we decided that the first song off the album will come out in about a month which you’ve probably heard me talk about. It’s called #Enemy and its definitely when I was in a darker time. But it’s really become a #Fight song for anyone who needs it. I hope you guys like it and support it because it definitely embodies a lot of the energy I had up until Cancer.
So you guys know i’ve been pretty accepting of everything. I’ve spent the last few days with my family and extended family and with @officialloyalty who has dragged me out of the house to make tik toks haha yup even with #Cancer I have to keep making Tik Toks. Actually he was filming me running around a football field less than 12 hours before they cut me open 😂😂 and I actually out ran him, he was winded. Chemo might be my super power lol.
Anyways I want this message to continue to radiate (literally) through everyone. Whatever you’re going through I promise, YOU can get through it, you can persevere you can overcome. It’s a change of perspective. And you will. I wouldn’t have thought I would have ever saw the world the way i am now, and I’m doing it daily
