Amaretto and I say hi!
Sorry for the lack of posts/ the lack of quality in my posts. I've been dealing with some personal stuff and I also haven't been loving my eq recently... It's so hard to go from jumping 3ft all summer long to 18" jumps. Amaretto is my short term lease and she is a bit older so that's why the jumps stay low. Some horses are coming up from Florida in a month or two, so I will reassess my horse situation then. Until then, I'm sorry for the lack of content. Hope all of you are doing well! :)

hey guys!
i know i have been super inactive lately, i still have been riding and working at barns though! i work at a beautiful barn, it is the most gorgeous place i’ve seen! it has a stunning indoor and amazing, highly trained, horses! it is a private barn and i’m not allowed to post photos/videos on social media so that’s why you haven’t seen anything…
i’ve been working very hard and i’ve been trying a ton of horses! i’ll update you with community posts every now and then, and we will see how posting edits goes…
thanks for all your support!

It's all so sudden, but I feel like you all deserve an explanation. Xena has abnormal growth in her p3, coffin bone. My trainer was shocked when she saw the Xray's (she is never shocked btw), she's never seen anything like it. From what I understand, it's located like at the back of her hoof, by her heel I think. It's not just abnormal growth, it's the direction of the growth, it shoots straight up, so when she landed a little funny during one of my lessons it hurt very very badly and only then did she decide to show signs of pain. Think about like getting stabbed from the inside of your foot. Evidently she's been like this for years and I feel awful because she must've been in soooo much pain all the time, but she never EVER showed any signs of lameness. She's such a strong girl <3
There's no fixing this.
I'll miss her sooo much, she was truly the best horse I've ever sat on in so many different ways.

Today was an awful day. Guess who's lameness will not be getting better. Cancelling my lease with the best horse I've ever sat on.
