Thank you for another fabulous year of intriguing chats about the novels we love. The Strange Reads channel has doubled its subs in 2023, and we love your participation in what is a learning experience for us, too. Hopefully, next year will bring us more fabulous books to discuss - including the one I'm working on NOW!
(We'll have regular posts resuming a little after the Christmas break...or until we receive heckles 😂)

We received a comment from @bottify3728, today. They said we had made an error in that Cassilda had the second line, not Camilla, in the opening of 'The Mask.'
Nobody had ever said anything after over 11 thousand views - so I checked my book. As you can see, it's as we originally posted it...so why would @ bottify3728 have it wrong??
Everyone, check your books - what do YOU have? (comment below).
It makes sense for Cassilda to have this second line - but my old paperback disagrees with many sources on the internet.
Hope you like the rest of our stuff, @ bottify3728 - we do research thoroughly, hehe.

I recently picked up this collection of Shirley Jackson short stories, and I love it.
That devilish twinkle you see in her eye is evident in so many of her characters.
I can't wait to read the next story. Do you have a favourite Shirley Jackson story?

For those of you missing our Wednesday book unboxing episodes - we have a broken camera lead!
Oh, no!! - This means we cannot shoot any new content at the moment...it also means my unopened book pile is steadily growing.
In the meantime, we're desperately seeking a CA570 Power Adaptor.
I may yet get out the soldering iron and have a go at 'home repairs' - how's that for a true horror story eeek!
Hopefully, we'll be posting new episodes soon.

Merry Christmas to everyone out there who follows Strange Reads. Thanks for becoming part of our young channel, it's growing super-fast. We're enjoying all the comments, interaction, and all the new literary discoveries we make along the way.
We hope you have a blast this festive season - we'll try to keep the shorts coming - and in the New Year, season two of 'Why Read This' will commence (we're already at work on it.)
Please share with your friends as we try to charge on to 1000 subscribers.
...keep it strange.

The Strange Reads channel examines speculative fiction (Horror/Sci-Fi/Fantasy stories), discusses the authors and delves into the inspiration behind each story. Hopefully, we can introduce you to a few new stories that you may have missed over the years.
