Kind of a hot take. BMWs aren't unreliable. BMW owners are unreliable. We work on a ton of customer cars at our shop and you wouldn't believe the amount of bandaid fixes we observe. Those bandaid fixes eventually morph into bigger, more expensive issues. A domino effect. Those same owners take a loud speaker to social media platforms and complain how terrible their cars are.
Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone, but from our experience, it applies to a good chunk of the community.
