Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Youtubers!

We've made big changes to Adrian Whyte Online! Given the current economic climate, we decided we wanted to make access to pdf's for my youtube videos a tidy $7 (US) a month, and access to my courses (with more to come!!) just $20 US a month.

There are hundreds of PDFs and 5 in depth courses on styles that you really need to know to play the rockabilly style with confidence!

With the feedback from our users we've also cleaned up the content and made it much smoother to use! If you haven't had a look, check it out here!

Looking forward to getting some more content out over the coming weeks - thanks for your patience and stay safe as we approach the christmas season!

Cheers,

Adrian

One of my favourite tunes that is a real old school swing meets rockabilly vibe, "The Stranger" by Royal Crown Revue, Up Next in My Tutorials. I will be doing one complete video tutorial on this tune straight to youtube before finishing "My Baby Left Me" and "Chalk Farm Breakdown" on Patreon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xskcv...

Hey Folks,

For something different I've posted a tab video of my latest transcription without a lesson breakdown!

https://youtu.be/jLu2yleMo-Y

If you're still wanting to have that in depth guitar lesson, consider joining the Patreon, Youtube memberships or my Online platform.

I will still do free breakdowns, but not every video - why? It seems the fun videos that are far less complicated to make get more views, but the in depth lesson transcriptions almost slow my channel down. So it makes sense at this point to reward my financial supporters who are most wanting of the details!

Next up: "My baby left me - Elvis/Scotty Moore"

Have a good week!

Iā€™m really proud to announce my latest course, Jazz and Swing Chord Fundamentals. The 5 main chord qualities presented in 21 voicings. Very little theory discussed, just practical, authentic chord shapes influenced by thousands of old Jazz recordings. Itā€™s only $29 US - not even $1.50 a chord! Or if youā€™re a member on my website or a ā€œSuper Limitedā€ tier member on my Patreon, you will already have access to it. With this lesson, youā€™ll be able to navigate a huge amount of jazz chord charts! Check it out here: includes on screen charts adrianwhyteonline.com/jazz-swing-chord-fundamentalā€¦

Hey Folks,

Just to update you, it's been a wild few weeks. In amidst being drafted to play with a really awesome Johnny Cash show called "Get Rhythm" heygetrhythm.com/, I was also set to sign a lease for a bigger, dual room studio. The new gig worked out well, the lease did not.. I signed the contract, the landlord changed his agreement, it fell apart! I don't appreciate goal posts being moved on me, nor will I pay to install air conditioners in someone else's building .. ha!

So in my trusty old studio I remain, where I'm currently working on a comprehensive introduction to Boogie Type single lines. It will include onscreen tabs and be somewhat progressive. It is also Part 6 of my Rockabilly Guitar for the Complete Beginner Series (#6) but will hopefully be a fantastic stand alone lesson also!

Thanks for all your support, I would have liked to have had the aforementioned lesson out by now but it will be here in the next few days!

In the meantime if you're looking for something to listen to, I posted an acoustic Solo rendition of "Hurt" - the Johnny Cash cover of the Trent Reznor NiN song.

Kind regards,

Adrian

If you've considered my rockabilly rebuild course - a course that will indoctrinate you into the vocabulary and structure of scale tones before directing you to the sweet sounds of rockabilly all over the neck .. here's an excerpt from my first testimony from a student who is using the course via full membership on the website.

"..Iā€™ve played around on guitar for 35+ years. Until I started working with Adrianā€™s lessons and his Rockabilly Rebuild course, I was at best a hummer and a strummer. Before Adrian, I couldnā€™t actually play a complete scale on guitar,

The Rockabilly Rebuild lessons really make sense. They intelligently build on each other. They allow me to see a clear path forward and monitor my own personal growth as I go.

This has been the best value for money that I have spent on learning guitar in decades.

Adrian's the real deal. If getting really good at guitar is what youā€™re after, this is money and time well spent. I've actually now been offered real gigs! This absolutely wouldn't have happened without Adrian. I can't imagine a higher praise than that!"

Sincerely A Very Happy Student,

BEGINNER GUITAR FOR ROCKABILLY?? It's become clear to me that there are many beginners out there who are struggling to get into Rockabilly. What's the access point? How much should you already know?

Maybe you've learnt a bit, but a struggling to progress because there are some holes in your approach and practice.

Well - I'm making a free youtube series for beginners, exactly how I would teach you if you walked into my studio for the first time. Sorta.. I'm even feeling the bad jokes coming on.

You see, I've done way over 10,000 hours of teaching and the majority of it is to beginners, so perhaps I've worked more in the intermediate to advanced space, but weirdly - I had A BALL making the first few lessons.

I'm going to show you how to hold a pick. Fret notes, play basic chords, introduce you to some single note technique, combine the two a little, show you some simple licks and more over 10 free lessons right here on my channel, with free downloadable content.

I'll even give you psychological tips and practice habits. I've been doing this for a loooong time, and it may show more with this series than any of my other videos. I hope so!

I'm excited .. are you!???

For the next lesson, would you folks like to learn more about using Triads, or an introduction to chord melody? Both would be on the simpler conceptual side with some exercises to try. By the way, both the guys pictured rip at both..so it's not a Setzer vs Gallup, but who do you think is more important to Rockabilly Guitar? #rockabilly #gretsch
