Situations often arise where there is a need to customize the layout or content of your arc flash labels. This webinar, given by Jim Chastain, EasyPower application engineer, introduces the process of customizing arc flash labels to include language translation, conditional logic to change content based upon calculated results, inclusion of QR codes for hyperlinks, ways to facilitate âSite Specificâ incident energy policies, and how to display company logo information. SITUATION: Incident Energy calculated on a low voltage panel is high since the main breaker is 'excluded'. Our engineer has applied the '2 second rule' to show a more realistic value on the label and the spreadsheet now shows "Manual Time". But the client wants the label to show the actual upstream breaker protecting this panel. A custom label template is the answer.

NFPA 70B-2023, the Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, which is one of the three key NFPA industry standards that support the application of OSHA requirements, has just been changed from a guide to a âstandard.â The requirements are now more formally described, though technical details may be more limited than in the past. An Electrical Maintenance Plan to drive safety is prioritized. This webinar, given by Marcelo Valdes, PE, at ABB and a member of the NFPA 70B technical committee, and Dr. Harsh M. Karandikar, PhD, VP of Product Management at ABB, describes the standard and its application. Maintenance frequency for various types of equipment is identified, but alternative approaches are possible.
