My entire channel is built around studying smarter, not harder: 'How to get perfect grades by studying 2 hours a day.' 'How to study efficiently.'

And these are very important, but it's very easy to forget the other side. Hard work.

Smart study systems remove wasted effort. But effort still needs to exist. My videos, study tips & tools will NEVER be a substitute for hard work.

Now that's not to say for most things, you can get away by being hyper efficient. Studying just 1-2 hours a day. My GCSEs were proof of that, and many of you regularly share your stories of success.

But there will come a certain test, subject, or challenge that is beyond your skillset, and you need to grind for. Put in the hours.

For me, I had an exam on the 14th of October, which was the most important exam I have set so far in my life. And it is a maths test, but the maths isn't the typical school maths. Rather the questions are quite freaky and maths challenge-esque - my weakness.

And so I put in the hours. 4,5,6 even 8 hour study days, which is around 120 hours from mid September to October 14th,all while I still had school from 6am to 6pm every day.

And don't get me wrong, I was still doing practise questions, past papers, tracking my mistakes, all the efficient tactics I advocate in my videos, but sometimes you just can't take a shortcut.

There's a quote I find pretty cool:

'It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. Difficult things are often valuable and that the struggle itself can be a sign that you are working toward something worthwhile. The hardship filters out those who quit, leaving greater rewards for the persistent few.'

I know that sometimes studying can be hard, but it's meant to be. I can make it easier and make sure your hours are being spent in the right direction, but it's up to you to actually put in the hours.

I guess I just wanted to say you're not alone, and the big exams that you need for your goals which mean a lot to you are all worth it for you to fight for.

So stay locked in, and best of luck:)

DON’T pull that all-nighter.

I understand where you’re coming from. It feels productive. It feels like the only way to cover everything, because you’re behind.

You stay up, you grind through the night, and you convince yourself that more hours = more results.

But this might be THE biggest myth students are fed.

Study after study shows that sleep is where your brain does the real work.

When you sleep, your mind literally replays and organizes everything you studied, strengthening the memory pathways. Without that, most of what you cram is gone the next day. (Basically quitting the game and not pressing save)

In one Harvard study, students who pulled an all-nighter performed almost 40% worse on memory tasks compared to those who slept. Another experiment found that problem-solving ability literally doubled after a full night’s rest compared to just 4–5 hours.

Translation? The smartest students aren’t the ones who stay up until 3am. They’re the ones who know that 8 hours of sleep and 2 hours of focused study is more powerful than 8 hours of exhausted, half-dead, caffeine fuelled, unhealthy, head ache inducing cramming.

So here’s my challenge to you this year:

Stop worshipping the all-nighter. Start respecting sleep as part of your study strategy.
Treat your bed like part of your revision plan. Because it is.

I’ve never had to pull an all nighter or ever stayed up past 11 studying, so you don’t have to either (even if it feels tempting)

TLDR get your zzzzzz!

Love you keep studying, get cooking good looking

🚨 The Great Lock-In of 2025–2026 Has Begun 🚨

The new school year is approaching already. Although many of you may be celebrating the results day, while some of you may be disappointed, or maybe just not looking forward for school to start (like me),

The one thing common we all have is that this is not the end. You still have those next set of exams to study for, the next big thing, the next big goal that needs you to lock in.

Most students are out here easing in... taking it slow… still in summer brain mode.
But not you. Not us.

Because something feels different right? That's right, this year is actually the year you lock in. The next few months, September - December, why not go all in and instead of hoping things will change, actually make the change.

This year we stop saying 'next year I’ll start strong'… and actually start strong.

Here’s your challenge:
Rest up before school starts, but start getting back into things. Finish off the summer assignments, get yoru sleep back on track, and write your goals to get ready to:

Go all in for the next 30 days.

Submit every assignment on time.
Block 20 minutes a day for self-study.
Start building those routines now while everyone else is still sleeping.

Because if you lock in early, you don’t just keep up.
You pull ahead.
And once you’re ahead… you stay ahead.

This is the Great Lock-In of 2025–2026.
Let’s make it the year you stop playing catch-up and finally become the top student you know you can be.

Comment your goals for this September - December season, and as always ill make videos teaching you things I've learned to help you stay on track

CONGRATS ON FINISHING GCSES (& A levels / any other exams!)

Huge well done and I'm sure you all have amazing results in your results envelopes waiting🙈

BUT here's one thing you MUST know...

Rest ≠ wasting time.

There’s a way to relax that recharges you, and NOT rot away...

Instead of endless scrolling and Netflix loops, rest with INTENTION.

Go outside. Touch grass. REFLECT (what went well!!!, what could be better). Sleep. Reconnect. And most importantly... dream about what’s next 👀. This is a huge step but not the last stepping stone after all:)

Take a break but don’t hit pause on your future.

You’re not lazy for resting. You’re smart for doing it right.

What’s one thing you’re doing this summer to recharge properly, and also stay productive?

Let’s be honest… Half term is where most students fold. You start the week like “I’m gonna study every day,” but then suddenly it’s Sunday night and all you’ve got is one half-written mind map and a deep regret.

But not this time.

This is how you stay locked in and motivated all week:

Visualize Your “Why.”
Picture that results envelope. The smile. The relief. The proud version of you. That’s not a fantasy—that’s your future if you work now. Screenshot that image in your mind. Revisit it every morning.

Use the Countdown Trick.
Tell yourself: Just 5 more days of focus. You’ve done years of school. Are you really gonna throw it for 5 days of scrolling? You can rest after. Right now? Lock in

Make Studying Easy to Start.
Lower the barrier. Don’t plan a 3-hour session. Just say: “I’ll do 5 minutes.” Once you start, momentum takes over. That’s how I tricked my brain into studying every day—just start.

Accountability = Cheat Code.
Text a friend your study goal for the day. Post it. Say it out loud. Suddenly, it’s real. And when you stick to it, you feel unstoppable. Keep stacking those wins.

Remind Yourself: This Is a Race.
Exams aren’t fair. There are no participation points. Only the top students get the top grades. Every time you skip a session, someone else is getting ahead. Stay in the race. Sprint to the finish.

Let’s use this half term to pull ahead. No burnout. No BS. Just high-focus, high-reward energy.

See you at the top.
