Coming off of hiatus, dropping another 2004 Nationals video at noon today. Publishing will be slow this week as I get back into my normal day to day routines. I am hoping to push through finishing up 2004 Nationals as soon as I can. Stay tuned!

Hope you're enjoying the NCRSF footage! On deck for publishing to everyone is RFL Nationals 2004. Footage is converted and ready to go. It will take a few days off and on to label each fight. Aim is to have it all out by July 1st, with select fights being notified to followers.
Here's what's been going on behind the scenes. Currently, tape ingestion is still going on, about 1/4 of the way through. Any digital copies of finalized videos are being de-interlaced with Staxrip using the QTGMC deinterlacer, and then converted/compressed to 4k YouTube spec via ffmpeg. I'm now at the point where I am working on data recovery for the few hard drives and CDs that are not reading correctly. Just a programming note, there will be a small hiatus in July, but I'll pick back up in August.

A boatload of MiniDV tapes and some HDD footage have arrived, courtesy of Robert Woodhead. I've been given permission to give all of this footage a good home to other bot builders. Over the next few weeks, I'll be digitizing all of the footage. Over the next few months (and let's be honest... years), I'll be releasing the videos here on this channel.
Here's a brief list of some of the events:
- North Carolina Robot Street Fight - July 2002
- Robocide: Showdown In O-Town - Jan 2003
- RFL Nationals - 2004,2006
- Robogames - 2006,2007,2008,2010
- Battlebeach
- RCX
- NPC Open
- Rocket City Robot Assault 2004
Some of this is crowd-shot footage, and some is unreleased Metal Munching Maniacs footage (released to competitors per say, but not general public). Some of the events that were shot in multi-cam make take longer if edits were never made on the included hard drives. But I do promise to get it all out there, one way or another. After the footage is released, I will aim to set up some sort of distribution so that others can share the master copies for future preservation.
Keep an eye out throughout the year! I can have a few crowd-shot events up in a month or so once I have things identified.

My channel is currently a repository of mostly old footage of mine from time spent in the robot combat hobby realm. I am also hosting upscaled videos from older events that have never been posted, or only compressed, low--res files were publicly available. I am able to post those videos thanks to the original owners, whom I've worked out agreements with.
My side project is getting the NERC Video Archive up on YouTube - @RobotConflict
Down the line, I'll post things related to my interest in ham radio, and other original content.
