Curry Fusion is all about Malaysian Indian dishes. Living in the United States, far away from my homeland (Malaysia); it is hard to always find authentic Malaysian food around. So I've decided to make my own food using inspiration from my mom's recipes.
A little background about Malaysia.
Malaysia is a multi-cultural society. The main ethnic groups are the native Malays as well as large populations of Chinese, and Indians.
Malaysian Indian dish are likely to be known with curry leaves, whole and powdered spices, and contain fresh coconut in various forms. Ghee (clarified butter) is still widely used for cooking, although vegetable oils and refined palm oils are now commonplace in home kitchens. The cooking techniques that have been adopted into Malaysian cuisine is very high in my stomach for its outstandingly tasty food, and the mixture of what’s available.
