Cholo is one of the most seasoned Directors in the Southeast Asian region. Aside from directing TV commercials and digital content he also broke into Philippine cinema co-writing and directing "Nasaan Ka Man" which swept the 2005 Filipino Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) awards for Best Story, Best Picture and Best Director , an award which the Gawad Tanglaw ng Lahi also gave him for the same film.
In 2008, he co-founded ORIGIN8 MEDIA, an independent filmmaking company committed to creating movies that are meaningful as they are commercially viable.
In December 2011, he joined !GUNG HO FILMS and served them as an in-house director and spearheaded the digital content development team.
Also a street photographer, some of his early works we’re curated by and exhibited at the National Museum of the Filipino People in 2015. Today, Cholo continues to be an independent Director and Content Creator, heading the Laurel st. Creative Lab.
