In Venezuela, children born with heart defects have little if any options. The average salary there is less then $4/ year*. Not only is there rampant poverty throughout the country, basic services like healthcare cost too much for the average person. Our foundation assists these heart families by paying for their services directly. We communicate with the doctors and pharmacies and coordinates who will receive the services . The money does not enter the hands of the families directly. If supplies need to go to the families, doctors, or hospitals we pay for private shipping so the the items can be sent directly to where they need to go. The only fortunate thing about the economic situation in Venezuela is that your donations go a long way due to the money exchange.
