Synopsis:
In the ongoing extremist war of southeastern India, the isolation has provided ideal
conditions for the extremists to hide along with giving refuge to the most primitive
tribe of mainland India.
‘The Last Tribe’ is a study of environmental crisis in one of India's war zone, through
the lens of a wildlife biologist, who is now commanding the military operations.
In an era of exploding human population there is rarely a place untouched with the
human influence, but there are still a few places left unexplored due to their
geographical isolations and the political instabilities.
This isolation factor has multiple dimensions to all the living beings. The place
suitable for the extremists to hide also provides space for rare wildlife species, some
of them yet to be discovered.
Within this tense battleground a primitive tribe has been living for thousands of years
still maintaining their ancient traditions and knowledge, a tribe that may have
survived for centuries but is not likely to continue with their traditions for long.
A story of ‘Environmental Crisis’ through the life of this tribe living in the war zone,
a story that could be ours.
