Heyo! sorry all for the weird ass upload schedule, but my next video is going to be a good one! very different as all hell, but it's going to be something that almost all of you will have some interest in (I think). planning on making it my most ambitious project yet in terms of quality and scope.

heyo all! i wrote a pretty big thread on my twitter with thoughts about my latest video and my videos in general, but i figure i'll transfer it here too since i'm curious on what people think. HUUUGE wall of text warning, i'd tldr this if i could lmao, but it's some pretty complex thoughts that i don't quite know how to shorten. ty all so much regardless for sticking with me through these less active months, I really appreciate it <3. behold, my youtuber thoughts
There's been a decent amount of folks disagreeing with some points i made in my Kunai video, and I like it in a weird way. I overall think most of the points people bring up are pretty fair, but more important to me is that my videos are kind of becoming opinion pieces of their own. they're essentially very longform and high effort ways of me stating my opinions on the game. Almost all of my videos aren't about super concrete matter, but instead talk about very contested and arduous points of balance in the game (ofc spy is one of the most debated classes in the game, some despise everything about him and want him nerf, some the opposite). Overall I feel mixed about this format. videos aren't a great format to just throw out opinions since you can't change a video. I think a lot of my previous points in videos are kinda meh now but I'm not gonna take down a whole video over one weird change I suggested. My diamondback rework for example really sucks, but there's no good way for me to really communicate that. Annotations don't exist anymore which sucks, and making a pinned comment doesn't feel very "effective", though I'll prolly still do it. On the plus side of this though, it makes making content way easier. Making a bullet-proof video about a game with very arduous balance that's super hard to disagree with is *so* difficult, and frankly there's a lot to be said for making 5x the amount of videos than otherwise, when the only cost is that they aren't perfect. I'm sure any viewer would highly prefer many more videos over severely reduced upload rate, if it means I've perfected every opinion i have on a topic. Not only that, but never being wrong is boring. I wanna put out my takes on weapons, I wanna start conversations, and most importantly, i want to be able to put out videos at a decent rate. I don't see this as a tradeoff in raw quality, but rather "debate-ability." This isn't politics, it's TF2, so being wrong, or even just a little off on things is alright I think

also the new vid IS coming along decently well so far, a bit slow but im very happy with how it's looking. also have some ideas for new videos after this one so hopefully after the big one comes out ill be fully refreshed for new content and such
