Got great news! Thanks to all who donated we now have more than enough money to buy a new digger. We are really amazed with the support of the community, such a fast response. The goal was reached in just 4 hours! And 24 hours later we are over €22K. We are more than grateful for all this. You can stop donating now 🙈
To continue with our plans to regenerate the land, we have to start looking again for a good digger, this time with a lot more experience on the field and probably buying it in person 🤝
And we're still in the search for the scammer, hopefully we get closer with all the ideas and findings that people sent so far.
WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE SCAMMER (will continue to update this post)
1. Pictures of the digger are stolen from another listing in France
2. Website was hosted on Weebly, contacted them but they cant share information
3. Not sure if Keith (from incorporation) documents is related. He might also be a victim.
4. Our Portuguese bank can’t help with anything
5. The RDS Plant email is connected to a Romanian phone number (for verification).
6. Any other ideas?
Romania seems like a new unexplored area since most focus was in Ireland. Plus we would really love to get in touch with the other people that got scammed by RDS Plant, but not sure how. Anyway we will keep you updated in this post and give a proper overview update in our next challenges video (#118).
Not sure how its gonna go, but let’s see.

Our goal here on Youtube is to document our process and deliver nice videos for you to follow it. We would love to know from you how long you would like the weekly videos to be. (we always get mixed messages on this)

Back to Kamp after a winter break and already planning what S4 is gonna look like! We will start posting videos in April, and we still got applications open for some positions, especially video making. 🎥 We already had a bunch of people applying and we’ve been getting in touch with some of them but this year we want to be a bigger team so… we are still looking for editors! Could be you. Or your friend. We are looking for people to come at different moments during the season, also the longer you can come, the better!

And in case you wonder how it went with video last year -> we were a team of 3, posted 32 videos and a recap, started a 4K channel for Patreons, crashed the drone (twice) 🙈, fixed it 🛠, dug into YT stats, managed to include 4 sponsors💰 without selling our soul, and got better at the infamous art of thumbnails 🖼. It's exciting to see from the inside how a channel grows. In 2022 we made around 16 million views, and in 2023 we did 22 million views and 244k more subscribers. Let's see if we can get to a million subs this year. Would be cool. 💪
And one big change we did last season was going from a single story per video, to including different projects and stories on every update. Maybe a bit more like season 1, where you can feel there is steady progress every week. Closer to how Kamp is actually like. And it’s cool we can include more stuff that was happening but was too small to become an update, like small fixes or harvesting with the neighbors.
Overall it was a nice year, sometimes intense, but we feel proud of the result. This year we want to be up to four in the team so we can make better videos while having a more relaxed rhythm. Hey! After a good winter break we are ready to start a new season! We’ve made a plan and outlined the tasks. Today we open up the applications for people that want to come and help this year. Building our first “level 2” house, digging a lake, chopping bushes, cooking food etc. Have a look at this page support.projectkamp.com/ with all the open positions.
