Who is your favorite YouTube editor to follow right now?
I'm curious to discover editors who work on YouTube and also share their process and tips on their own channels.
Basically someone like Hayden Hillier Smith but different

In order to succeed on YouTube you have to ...
No you do not
After studying YouTube for 3 years, I've seen too many aspiring creators burn out following outdated advice.
Don't let that be you!
In this video I share with you how to avoid these mistakes and set yourself up for long term success.

How does it feel to go viral?
That's the question I had at the beginning of the year.
So i called up a few creators who had viral successes and asked them about their experience.
@ElsaScola is one of those Creators who makes videos whenever she wants but always thinks about it strategically. Curious to hear your takeaways from this conversation.

Thank you!!
It's such a funny coincidence we crossed 1K on the day the final episode of season 2 comes out.

Not all views are created equal
After one of my videos went bananas over the weekend
I noticed 4 distinct types of growth every creator should understand.
SHARED
Comes from a big influx of views after
it’s shared by you or a collaborator
then tapers off over time.
But really most of us want to see a
SURGE
Big, fast, viral growth.
Like a real virus it’s largely out of your control
but it’s a great opportunity if you’re prepared for it.
Ideally with content that is
STEADY
It continuously grows to become
evergreen content for your channel.
Forming the basis for anyone discovering you.
And to help with that you can make
SHORTS
Doing nothing until it spikes
to end in a long flat line after.
Which is why I think of it as marketing not content.
None of these graphs are good or bad.
But knowing them can help make better decisions.
Especially since one small tweak can turn a flat line into a Surge.

If you are a Solo Creator dreaming of building something bigger you are going to love this conversation with Nino of @CineD .
He is a filmmaker who turned a small forum for DSLR cameras into the gold standard of Cinema Gear Reviews.
I've admired what they do since 2010 so I was very excited to have this chat with him.
His perspective on the creator economy, the responsibility of being a creator and how he sees success really stands out and gives you clear insights to building something bigger than yourself.

Subscribe to make YouTube friends
Hi 👋 my name is Valentin.
I launched Orbit in 2023 to explore what it means to be a Content Creator.
Instead of chasing big names, I started with a circle of YouTube friends who share the same passion for creativity and independence.
Now with each episode, we’re expanding our Orbit to include a more diverse cast of creators
to show you how different paths to success and creative freedom can look like.
Together we are creating a community where solo creators can build connections,
find resources and learn to grow while remaining independent.
Enabling each other to live a rich life.
