Here I am in the sweater that got me through 2020. A sweater I impulsively bought on ebay for a photoshoot that never happened. There were moments this year when I felt like time was being stolen from us, that reality was unfair, that I felt bad and scared for myself, for us collectively. I was supposed to put a record out this year. I was really proud of the songs and felt like it was going to be a big year for me. Well, that didn’t happen. And I cried a lot a lot a lot. But, most days of this year I found myself overwhelmingly grateful for this life. I really love living it! This year I met new collaborators, grew closer to my friends, watched every season of gossip girl, started writing a book, started being nicer to myself, started washing my dishes immediately after use, started doing crossword puzzles, and spent every single day of it sober. I missed shows but I got to connect with a lot of you on the internet. Thank you for sharing your stories with me. I hear from a lot of people that they are struggling, and I want you to know you aren’t alone and that you are worthy of happiness and you are loved. And I hope you truly have a happy new year :)
