August 13th is here. Good luck, everybody, because the first small batch of US users is about to get an AI age verification before the system's wider implementation.
So far, I haven't been affected because I guess I verified my age beforehand, albeit by choosing the selfie option over giving Google my credit card or ID. Go ahead and reply if you can use your email or a selfie as well.
And before I end this post, I personally want to say that this AI age verification mumbojumbo might not last that long, although that's what a billion other users are saying, even though I personally don't think this system should even be a thing to begin with.

Well, guys, you can use your email or a selfie as a way to verify your age instead of an ID or credit card to do so. Granted, using a selfie doesn't seem as secure as using an email address, but they at least don't seem as dangerous as, well, the other 2 options I just mentioned... Of course, as mentioned in my earlier posts, I still don't believe YouTube should be using AI to determine our ages at all, as it sounds like a very illegal and error-prone system.

Just a heads up that YouTube's AI age verification is coming closer to implementation. Don't stop talking about it; we need to let this site know that this system could be an invasion of privacy. Keep it up and don't step down just yet...
I'm also planning to attend Furry Migrations 2025 at the Hyatt Regency in the coming weeks.

YouTube will be rolling out an AI age verification system on the 13th of August. From what I've seen thus far from many users, let's keep up the good work and continue to protest against this change, and not bend the knee, regardless if this nonsense has already been implemented or not.
One way or another, there will be backlash, and YouTube might potentially get itself in legal trouble.
