The Federal Reserve just raised its key interest rate by another quarter percentage point to the highest level in 22 years. What do you think the Fed will do next?

The Federal Reserve has raised its key interest rate by another 0.25%. The quarter percentage point increase will bring the fed funds rate to a target range of 5.25% to 5.5%, the highest level in 22 years.
The fed funds rate sets what banks charge each other for overnight lending. But it affects other forms of consumer debt such as mortgages, credit cards, and vehicle loans.
By raising its interest rates, the Fed hopes to make borrowing and investing more expensive, and reduce overall demand and for goods, services and labor in the economy. The goal is to slow inflation.
