Iā€™m so excited to kick off 2025 with my first speaking engagement of the year in Orlando at the luxurious Coronado Springs Resort as part of Ansys Worldwide Sales Conference!

Iā€™ll be delivering a morning keynote, and debuting a brand new slide deck, to 1,800+ members of Ansys global sales team, 300+ channel partners, and 100+ of their top strategic partners (and will be streamed to another 6,000+ watching around the world!)ā€¦

The theme of presentation is ā€˜Creating a Mindset of Success.ā€™

This pic was taken during last nightā€™s AV checkā€¦ Iā€™ll be dressed much more professionally today!

Just over two weeks ago I had the incredible honor of speaking to the Washington Commandersā€™ players & coaches in this very film room (and immediately loved this mantra!) before they flew to Dallas for their last regular season game.

I shared a few frameworks on discipline, mindset, and humility that I hoped would help them on, and more importantly, off the field.

Coach Quinn sat in the front row and took notes.

Jayden Daniels came up afterwards and introduced himself.

Every player gave me a fist bump and said ā€˜thank youā€™ when they exited.

Those are just a few quick examples of the winning culture this organization has resurrectedā€¦

Before you can win on the field, you must win off the field šŸˆ

*If youā€™re interested in hearing EXACTLY what I shared with themā€¦ check out this video: https://youtu.be/wjTBfXWBgXA

In sports, business, and parenting - when it comes to teaching and leading - repetition is NOT punishment. If itā€™s important, repeat it every day.

I follow this code:

Just because I said it, I donā€™t assume you heard it.

I will say it again and again.

Just because I showed you, I donā€™t assume you saw it.

I will show you again and again.

Just because you understand it, I donā€™t assume you can do it.

I will watch you again and again.

Just because you CAN do it, I donā€™t assume you WILL do it.

I will encourage you again and again.

Thank you Las Vegas! What an awesome way to end my year!

My final event was a unique experience for me: no live, in-person audienceā€¦ we pre-recorded my entire keynote!

It was just me, several video cameras, a massive production team, and a 30 foot LED screen!!

My client is a global tech company that will share my message during a virtual sales kick off event in January!

Iā€™m getting prepped to record a full keynote in my home office later this morning.

I need to keep the company a secret so I donā€™t spoil the surprise (in case anyone on their team follows me!)ā€¦ as they will play my presentation to their global workforce as part of a virtual Sales Kickoff Event in January.

Pre-recording a keynote is an effective way to pour into your team remotely (when an in-person event simply isnā€™t doable). Please DM me, email me (Alan@AlanSteinJr.com), or fill out this form (AlanSteinJr.com/Contact) for more information!

In 1995, Erik Spoelstra started out in the video room for the Miami Heat.

Miami head coach Pat Riley immediately took notice of Spoelstraā€™s unparalleled commitment to his craft and his exceptional evaluation skills.

Soon thereafter he was promoted to video coordinator.

Then he was promoted to an advance scout.

Then he was promoted to an assistant coach.

He played a major role in developing Dwyane Wade and the Heatā€™s NBA championship in 2006.

Two years later we was promoted to head coach.

Two years later, he led Wade, LeBron, and Chris Bosh to 4 straight finals appearances and two more NBA championships.

Seven years after the Heatā€™s last championship, and 25 years after he started in the video room, Coach Spoelstra had the Heat back in the NBA finals.

You earn opportunities, advancement, and promotions by knowing your role, embracing your role, and starring in your role to the best of your ability.

As Steve Martin said, ā€œBe so good they canā€™t ignore you.ā€
