The European Championship (yes, soccer 😅) started today and it's hosted in Germany this year! The first game took place in Munich today and Germany had a great start to the tournament with a 5:1 win against Scotland 🥳🥳🥳 The whole city of Munich went crazy today, they had to close a lot of the parks and public squares because they were overcrowded!
Did you know that today is Flag Day in the US? 🇺🇸
On June 14, 1777, the US flag was officially adopted.
The design has basically stayed the same through until today BUT a few things have changed compared to the original! The original flag had 13 red and white stripes – just like today – but the number of stars was different. How many were there?

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 This weekend kicks off Pride Month in the US - and actually, across the globe!
Celebrations of LGBTQ+ life have become tradition in June to honor the Stonewall Riots in New York City on June 28, 1969. Pride Parades take place in June, complete with parades, celebrations, and events.
In Germany, we have Pride, too! It’s called Christopher Street Day, or CSD. Why? Well, the Stonewall Riots took place in the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar on Christopher Street in Greenwich Village. Cities across Germany and even across Europe host CSD events that are very similar to Pride. There isn’t one certain CSD Weekend for all of Germany or all of Europe, but rather, each city chooses a weekend in June, July, or even later than that.
This year, Munich will celebrate CSD on the same day as Cincinnati Pride: June 22!
