Hi brads, chads, and thads
First off, thank you for 40k. It is an honor and privilege to be able to interact with all of you, and nothing makes me happier than the kind messages that I receive from you and stories of all of your successes.
Secondly, as this channel begins to grow, it unfortunately becomes impossible to completely separate it from my professional life. I will still keep the channel fairly unhinged, but admittedly there have been moments where I've come somewhat close to crossing some lines. I'm going back through a lot of my old videos now. For certain moments, I'll likely use the YouTube editor to basically censor myself and cut the video for half a second. For other videos, I probably have to take them down completely.
As far as the actual systems design content on here goes, I don't think this should affect any of it. I really just have a tendency to say a couple of out of pocket things in my introductions, and I'm leaving probably 95% of those, and only marginally modifying a couple of the old chopping the wood references. There are a couple of older full videos, that for now, feel like I should take down (not academically focused in any ways).
Only saying this to provide some context on why you may see the occasional .5 second cut in a video.

Hello ladies and gentlemen (but like 95% gentlemen, maybe 1% furries who knows in 2024...):
I have decided not to make a dedicated video for Twitter Search Design, even though it is a problem in Grokking the Systems Design interview. The reason for this is that I watched my old video on it, and it was basically identical to the twitter search index design that I created in episode 2 of the new series! So if you're mad that this week we're skipping straight to the web crawler, sowwy :(
