Listenbee is the solo project of New Jersey-born, Los Angeles-based producer David Jamahl, the musical genius behind some of the biggest pop and hip-hop anthems of the last decade. Through his previous work in the pop world under his former GoonRock moniker, Jamahl has built an impressive catalog, which includes co-writing, co-producing, and performance credits on the global hit singles “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy and I Know It” with electronic/hip-hop duo LMFAO as well as “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)” with Fergie and Q-Tip, off the soundtrack for blockbuster film The Great Gatsby(2013) and others. But that was GoonRock then, and this is Listenbee now. For Jamahl, his newly launched Listenbee alias is a deliberate departure from the cookie-cutter humdrum of modern pop music. Through Listenbee, he takes his immaculate skills, filters them through his unique lens on life, and now brings them to the stage via a fresh perspective and an original sound.
