이번 대회는 ‘AI 기술을 활용한 이미지 해상도 개선 모델 개발’을 주제로 하며, 참가자들이 인공지능(AI) 관련 역량을 높이고 AI 기술에 대해 깊이 이해할 수 있도록 돕게 된다. 저해상도 이미지를 고해상도로 복원하는 AI 모델 개발을 목표로 하므로, 참가자들은 이를 통해 실제 산업에 적용할 수 있는 기술을 연구하고 실습할 기회를 얻을 수 있다. 또한 기존의 Super Resolution 모델이 영문 이미지를 개선하는 데는 효과적이나, 한글 이미지에서는 왜곡과 깨짐이 발생한다는 문제점까지 해결하는 것이 본 대회의 도전 과제이며, OGQ는 이러한 과제 해결을 바탕으로 AI 기술의 산업적 활용 가능성을 더욱 넓히고자 한다.

접수 기간은 9월 23일(월)부터 10월 11일(금)까지이며, 10월 2일(수)에 온라인 설명회가 열린 후 10월 25일(금)에는 결과물 제출 일정이 마감된다. 대회는 ‘1차 서류심사’와 ‘2차 본선’으로 나뉘어 진행되며, 심사 역시 1차 서류심사와 2차 PT 심사로 이루어진다. 1차 서류 접수 후 6주간 AI 연구 개발자와의 멘토링을 제공해 참가자의 역량 성장을 도울 수 있을 것이며, 심사위원회에서 공정한 심사를 통해 기술성과 창의성 등을 평가할 예정이다.

최종 발표와 시상식은 10월 29일(화)에 인천전자마이스터고등학교 대강당에서 진행된다. 총상금은 400만 원으로, 대상(200만 원), 최우수상(100만 원), 우수상(50만 원)이 각각 수여된다. 또한 본선 진출자 전원에게는 참가상이 제공되며, 수상자는 OGQ 입사 지원 시 가산점을 부여받게 된다.

OGQ의 GYN AI 연구팀(연구소장 방승온)이 2024 유럽 컴퓨터 비전 학회(European Conference on Computer Vision, ECCV)에 두 편의 논문을 게재하는 성과를 거두었다. 2년마다 열리는 ECCV는 컴퓨터 비전 및 패턴 인식 컨퍼런스(CVPR), 국제 컴퓨터 비전 학회(ICCV)와 함께 세계 3대 컴퓨터 비전 학회로 손꼽힌다.

DHR 논문은 데이터 불균형 시 작은 객체가 사라지는 현상을 완화한 기술을 다루고 있다. 기존에는 인접한 클래스 간 작은 클래스의 픽셀 영역이 사라지는 문제가 있었지만, DHR에서는 비지도 학습 모델의 특징 정보를 계층적으로 활용하여 자동으로 구분하는 방식을 제안했다. 이러한 방식은 다중 클래스 데이터 셋 학습 시 모든 WSS 기술들에 적용 가능하며, COCO 2014 데이터셋 기준 세그멘테이션 정확도가 56.8%로 나와 Papers with Code 공식 벤치마크에서 세계 1위를 기록했다.

TTD 논문은 이미지-텍스트 학습 시 텍스트의 가장 중요한 정보에만 집중하는 편향 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 편향되지 않은 정보를 자동 추출하여 스스로 학습하는 새로운 방법을 제안했다. 이 기술은 이미지-텍스트를 학습하는 모든 모델에 적용 가능하며, CC3M 데이터셋 기준 다중 태그 분류 정확도에서는 82.8% 및 세그멘테이션 정확도에서는 65.5%로 Papers with Code 공식 벤치마크에서 세계 1위를 차지했다.

OGQ's GYN AI Research Team, led by Research Director Bang Seung-on, has achieved significant recognition by publishing two papers at the 2024 European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV). The ECCV, held biennially, is one of the world's top three computer vision conferences, alongside the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) and the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV).

The DHR paper addresses the issue of small objects disappearing due to data imbalance. Traditional methods faced problems where pixels of smaller classes adjacent to larger ones would vanish. The DHR technique proposes a hierarchical utilization of feature information from unsupervised learning models to automatically distinguish these regions. This method can be applied to all weakly-supervised semantic segmentation (WSS) techniques in multi-class datasets. The segmentation accuracy reached 56.8% on the COCO 2014 dataset, achieving the top position on the Papers with Code official benchmark.

The TTD paper proposes a new method to automatically extract unbiased information during image-text training, addressing the bias towards the most important information in text. This technique is applicable to all models learning from image-text data. On the CC3M dataset, it achieved an 82.8% accuracy in multi-tag classification and a 65.5% accuracy in segmentation, also securing the top spot on the Papers with Code official benchmark.

This research was achieved through collaboration between OGQ, KAIST, and the University of Michigan teams. OGQ's GYN division, specializing in vision AI and generative AI, focuses on core technologies in image and video recognition. They aim to develop and research solutions for issues in generative models using tag-based segmentation technology.

OGQ Achieves 118% Revenue Growth in One Year

OGQ, a leading copyrighted content marketplace, is showing remarkable growth, with sales growing an impressive 118% compared to 2022. The company's sales recorded 13.8 billion won (about 10.6 million dollars) last year, with the highest daily sales being about 70 million won (about 53,000 dollars). OGQ achieved a total of 8 billion won (about 6.1 million dollars) in sales and R&D projects in the first half of 2024 alone.

The cumulative number of creators surged from 340,000 in 2018 to 1.1 million, a 238% increase. The cumulative number of content downloads reaches 2.8 billion. As of June 2024, the cumulative number of content buyers reached 2.2 million, and the maximum content sales amount per day was 67 million won. OGQ has formed a strong fandom between creators and fans, and has generated approximately 46.4 million fan connections.

OGQ acquired Grafolio, Korea's No. 1 artist community operated by Naver, and has expanded its services to help domestic art, illustration, and photographers connect with fans and increase profits as creators.
