The College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) at Kent State University is dedicated to developing responsible professionals committed to improving the quality of life, enhancing the physical environment and protecting the public welfare through the design of the built environment. The practice of environmental design is a creative design synthesis that requires both a breadth of knowledge concerning society and its functions as well as a depth of technical and physical knowledge of materials, procedures, and business organization. We enhance the student experience with a renowned lecture series on the latest trends in architecture and interior design, educational symposiums, and through studio culture that cultivates a collaborative learning environment.
