Hi friends! So, I've recently bought a natural shampoo and noticed some things about this brand I hadn't noticed before. Basically, they don't seem to be as natural and good as I first thought.
So I thought I'd make a video about this, and I wondered if there are any brands you know of that you'd like me to research, if you're unsure if they're really as ethical as they claim, or if you're just unsure in general!

💐 Don't give up on your clothes 💐
A few days ago I washed this shirt (one of my favorite second hand finds) and once it dried I realized I had accidentally stained it from lying it on a table to dry. As a minimalist I don't have that many clothes, so I don't have an alternative to this shirt, which means I care even more about it.
So I washed it on a gently cycle - stains still there, so I applied my favorite method for getting rid of stains:
1. Soak in ice cold water (warm water set stains), and scrub the stains with a castille bar soap.
2. Keep scrubbing in the soap (I just use my fingers and the bar soap itself to avoid tearing the fabric), rinse with cold water, again and again, until the stain starts to fade. This is not easy work, but it does such a good job at removing tough stains! It took me about 15 minutes of soaping and rinsing.
3. Do a last rub in of the bar soap, but don't rinse it out. Leave it on and soak in cold water overnight. I added some distilled white vinegar as well.
4. Put on a handwash/gentle cycle and set water to "cold".
AND IT SURVIVED! No more stains 🪷
I am so happy I took the time, effort and hope to save this shirt. This method I've used an all my favorite dresses (because I always spill food on them), and I've even saved one of my friend's white shirt after it got red wine on it (that one required 3 washes!).
If we take care of our clothes, remove stains when we get them, and not just throw them away, they last for so much longer.

I usually don’t get sick 🤒 So I’m not very good at relaxing… and I’ve been sick for over a week now (!) but I’m doing my best to relax, feed all the animals here at our house sit (will show you later), and heal. I’m finally starting to feel better today ❤️
