Works to ⚡️ empower, promote, and preserve live music in small venues.
Since 2020, the Live Music Society has supported initiatives that promote and preserve the experience of live music. When the Covid-19 pandemic shut down live music performances, many venues nationwide were threatened, and many did not make it. We responded to this unprecedented need by providing grants to help small music venues survive months of closure, then assisting them as they welcomed performers and fans back. Over $2 million in general operating funding was distributed during the first two years.
In 2023, Live Music Society is doubling down on our efforts to highlight the unique contributions of small music venues to American culture. Supporting creative ideas and innovation as venues return to doing what they do best: connecting musicians and their communities.
Thank you for following us. Let's #SaveSmallMusicVenues together.
