After one of the best weekends that Iāve ever had in my fishing career I come home to yet another amazing surprise! EZ bait and tackle has put your boy on the billboard on hwy 70 in Princeton! I am so thankful and beyond blessed!

We have finally made it home from the Catfish Conference! During our 9-hour drive, I had ample time to reflect on the weekend and soak in everything that happened. This weekend was certainly a time in my life that I will never forget! Our entire team was blown away by the incredible support shown at our 4REEL Fishing booth! The number of people who stopped by to see us was unbelievable, and Iām so grateful to have met so many amazing people!!
To top it off, Rachel and I received a very special invitation to eat at Brazeiros Brazilian Steakhouse with the SeaArk team! During our meal, I was officially offered a prostaff position with them, which I GLADLY accepted!! I have always felt so welcomed and appreciated by the SeaArk team over the years. They have always taken the time to talk with me, answer any questions Iāve ever had, and have gone above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of!
It was exactly 3 years ago when I first met Steve Henderson (President at SeaArk) at the Catfish Conference. He shook my hand and said, āTyler, youāre doing greatākeep up the good work!ā I took that to heart and never forgot it.
A few things that I want to tell each and every single person who has taken the time to read my post are that Iāve always been a very simple person who has a love for fishing for catfish. I started fishing from the banks of the Neuse River with my father at the age of 12. Ever since, itās all that I have ever wanted to do. At 18, my father passed away, but my passion for catfishing never left my side. It was around this time I started tournament fishing, which led to many amazing friendships, sponsorships, recognition, the birth of our brand 4REEL Fishing, and so many other amazing opportunities!!
Now donāt get me wrongā¦ Iāve had my fair share of bad events as well, but that is only natural. Now that you know how I started, you know that Iām just a regular dude with big teeth who likes to fish! š
On the drive home I had a strong urge to say this right here and I hope it reaches the right person/people. NEVER think that you are not capable of achieving anything. The only person that is standing in your way is yourselfā¦ There is an ultimate secret to success that Iām going to unveil for you right now, and if you follow this, I can promise you that you will succeed in ways you never thought imaginableā¦
If you have not alreadyā¦ establish a relationship with GOD, pray for wisdom, strength, and guidance in your life.
Block all negativity out of your life immediately! Both in real life and on social media.
Surround yourself with people who are positive, uplifting, and challenge the way you think. Those people will be there for you to help push you to succeed and get you through those challenging tough times.
Whatever you want to be in life, whether itās a pro fisherman, content creator, or whatever else it may beā¦ Be genuine, be consistent, show people youāre passionate about what youāre doing, offer assistance and guidance to others who ask for your help, and NEVER do anybody wrong.
NEVER get caught up in any drama or anything NEGATIVE especially in a public setting or on social media!
What I can tell you is that I have followed these steps in my life, and it has led to opportunities that I never thought I would have a chance at or even knew existedā¦ If I can do it, so can you! Believe in yourself, stay positive, and never give up! The only limit is the one you set for yourself!
