Just a little encouragement today intended to make you giggle, chuckle, smile and feel less alone if you're struggling today or on any day if you're feeling like your wig looks wiggy etc. And to remind us all on our struggle days how truly blessed we all are that wigs have evolved so much.
I present to you "Our Mother's ,Grandmothers & Aunties wigs back in the day ." Exhibit 1&2
So when you get in your feelings about your wigs and we all have days like that then look at these photos and think about how much more realistic our wigs look and feel in the present age and of all the hard working people in the industry working their tails off to create beautiful dream hair with the goal to make wigs more realistic and natural looking and to help us to feel our most confident and beautiful and to bring healing to the hearts of those of us with hair loss or a illness etc that has affected our outward appearance and our self esteem so we can look and feel like ourselves again or just give ourselves a makeover cuz we want to and we can . And a reminder of how blessed we are for all our Sister & Brother Wig Reviewers/ Hair Loss Tribe/ Support group Admins out there volunteering their precious gift of time to help us feel confident and feel like our most beautiful selves and help us navigate this journey. Also a reminder how bad to the bone were our Mother's , Grandmother's , Aunties to stand tall, hold their heads high and rock these crowns with confidence , make them their own and choose confidence and to feel beautiful with the only options and choices they had at the time. They were true Fierce Warriors & Pioneers that paved the way for all of us on this journey. Their wigs were all the rage back in the day. I personally can hear mine from Heaven gasping in excitement for me every time I put on my daily driver & dream hair crowns at how much wigs have evolved and telling me "I love your Gorgeous hair you are so Gorgeous! You go Girl!"
If they could make their very limited hair crown styles & colors work & stand tall & go out & slay & rock it including appearing on very popular shows like American Bandstand & Soul Train, church, work etc then so can we. We got this Tribe! 💪 🫶❤️
