The results of our work are a byproduct of trusting the creative process, so we have to think more about it as we would if we were taking care of plants: as long as we're optimizing the conditions for a plant to grow, then it's going to grow. As long as you're giving it sunlight and you're giving it water, then we don't really have to worry about the results.
It's the same thing with composing.

There is no greater creativity hack than just starting.
Just start composing.
You don’t need an elaborate ritual, you don’t need cold showers, you don’t need an hour of meditation, you don’t need to organize your bookshelf for the 100th time—sure, these things might help to clear your mind, but so does composing, so the best way to be creative is to just start. The ritual is the composing. This is something children do intuitively. Why do we forget this as adults?
