Just replied to a comment on a video about how our numbers are wrong. The original comment read as follows:
âYour Red Dead Redemption 2, F1 2023 and Plague Tale numbers for the 4090 are seriously messed up, they go against all reviews on the web, even your Cyberpunk and Hogwarts numbers are wrong. You have something wrong on your end.â
My response in detail is:
âI definitely donât. Are others using a 7800x3d? Are they using the same settings? No upscaling?
In f1 do they turn ambient occlusion off? Do they put antialiasing to taa?
In cyberpunk do they make sure they turn upscaling off as the presets turn it on.
Do they turn upscaling off in hogwarts?
The big issue isâŚyou donât know because they would typically say âwe test on ultraâ which for cyberpunk would indicate that fsr is turned on as it is by default.
In f1 if they said they test at default settings then dlss would be on as standard.
Are they testing rdr2 using dx12 or vulkan? Because vulkan will favour amd but is the more stable of the two modes in that game.
Myself and other YouTubers are a bit sick of being compared against each other and Iâve chatted to maybe 5 others who feel the same. No two systems are the same. No two guys are the same, most other reviewers use the launch day driver while I go and test on newer drivers which have seen HUGE performance gains in certain titles recently.
Youâre trying to compare results where up to ten variables could be different and are expecting the same results. It makes NO sense!â
