DiDiā€™s management seems to know they would be scrutinized by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) before its IPO. Now, CAC has ordered DiDi to remove its App from mobile app stores and not allowing DiDi to register new users.

Why did DiDi rush its IPO? I think we should stay away from overhyped IPO going forward especially for Chinese companies, because IPO stocks are overvalued most of the time especially on the first trading day.

The market is heading to very fearful now. This means many stocks are finally undervalued! Now I need to accumulate more cash this year to buy more undervalued stocks!

Hereā€™s one thing I notice. When the market is near the peak, we would see many companies going public through traditional IPOs or SPACs, because companies want the highest valuations when the entire stock market is very greedy/overpriced. I made several mistakes buying several stocks in December and January near their peaks, now I have to hold them for them to recover. I totally forgot about ā€œthe price is what we pay, the value is what we get.ā€ Now, I learned!

Someone asked me why I only invest in tech stocks (Eg, Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc), and not traditional stocks (eg banking, retail, oil & gas).

My idea is that the best tech businesses will continue to dominate their sectors/industries in the long run, so if we look at the Forbes Richest List, itā€™s also dominated by the tech billionaires.

Just my ideas about investing:)

Cheers,

Warren Buffett said: ā€œOnly when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked.ā€ Itā€™s an analogy about investing.

Now, he has caught many of us swimming naked in the stock market, crypto market, SPACs, High-flying IPOsšŸ˜‚

Iā€™m going to start being ā€œgreedyā€ soon! Time to be greedy when others are fearful.

Many stocks are becoming more undervalued now.

As predicted in my previous video, rising US treasury yield and rising inflation rate will impact growth stocks the most because of their much higher capital expenditures especially if they do not have consistent profits/cash flows yet. My previous video: https://youtu.be/SpWdp5EaUgI

Iā€™ll be making an updated video about ā€œInflation Rate Risk, When to Buy in a Stock Market Correctionā€ this weekend.

Stay tuned!

Iā€™m buying more stocks if the entire stock market is very fearful (large sell-offs). Be greedy when others are fearful!

This fear & greed index is from CNN. Itā€™s a very good indicator to see if the entire stock market is very greedy (over priced) or very pessimistic (over sold) or somewhere in between.

Tencent (TCEHY) may get fined $1.5Bn for not reporting its acquisitions and investments and for practicing monopolistic practices in some of its businesses including music streaming (eg Tencent Music). If Tencent gets fined, it is likely not going to be as big as Alibaba's recent $2.8bn fine.

Hereā€™s the article: www.google.ca/amp/s/www.aljaz...

Tencentā€™s stock price doesnā€™t seem to reflect this antitrust risk yet (in my opinion).

Alibaba (BABA) will be fined $2.75 billion (largest antitrust fine in China so far) for its anti-monopoly violation. Thatā€™s about 4% of its 2019 sales. So my prediction was somewhat right. Initially, in my previous videos about Alibaba stock, I predicted that Alibabaā€™s worst case scenario would be getting a 10% fine of its previous years sales based on Chinaā€™s anti-monopoly law.
